But basically your spine has tendons/muscles deep, same with ribcage so you need to be doing the aux movements for legs and it's just as important for upper body but you'll just tear a shoulder rather than slip a disc going heavy.

Leg press fixed my hip/glute tendonosis. I did all these gay isometrics and foam rolling for months to still have some pain. But loading heavy single-leg leg press did wonders for my tendon and healed me almost instantly.
