all Im going to do is get lean, then eat a bit of ground beef, a potato or some protein shake/oatmeal before bed after lifting. everything else has to still be clean and inside your regular macros.

Professionals will bulk and cut to squeeze out an extra pound of muscle in a year, but that's because they have the discipline, time, and gear to do so. Natties don't have any of that shit, so they just get fat and the muscle gains are nominal, if at all.

I started underweight with very low bf at around 10-12% (so about 58kg lean mass). 98kg at even say 20% bf is about 78kg of lean mass. If you don't think a 6'2" guy can gain 20kg of lean body mass in 5-6 years, you're ngmi.

Gaining more than 0.5kg a month would probably already be a gamble IMO, since the muscular gains are super slow after a certain individual threshold. The only way to progress past intermediate levels w/o bloatmaxxing is to patiently grind your routine at whatever level of volume/intensity fits you best and can be maintained over time, while keeping the weight gain very slow. Bulking hard is dumb and maingaining is usually a waste of time, but so is cutting if you get too fat. Best to maintain stable hypertrophy with minimal fat gain over the longest possible time.
