As body weight goes up (muscle included) there is a direct correlation with body fat increase, even if it is slight.
The bodies circulatory and major organs can only support a specific body mass. Once you go over this the body has to work harder and longer to maintain itself.
Which requires more resources and eventually accumulates with hormone dysfunction.
