It entirely depends on how you do them and how much weight you're using compared to your frame. If you're doing a bunch of heavy singles, then yeah you're fucking yourself up. But if you were to do some high bar squats, swap the deadlift for RDL, bench with a flatter back and no leg drive, and up the reps for each of the lifts to like the 6-12 rep range, then you're doing awesome and you can only benefit hypertrophy-wise. All you'd need for legs after those 2 would be leg curls, leg extensions, and calf raise of choice and that's literally the entire lower body worked. Doing the bench with a flat back also pulls in the upper chest a lot more so you'll get more even development as well so doing that and adding something like a pec dec would fully max out chest gains. After that you just need to put together a proper routine for the back, delts, and arms

Vertical compression is harmless compared to shear forces. You're just repeating words you picked up. Compression, including vertical, is also what keeps your spine healthy.
Yes, bending your spine under 200kg or loading up 10x your body weight isn't good for you. But that has nothing to do with the exercise. Doing pullups with a 600kg load also isn't a very safe idea even though you're decompressing wonderfully.
