Hey everyone, I'm a 20 year old 6 ft male who is 170-180 lbs, I am currently shopping for a new mattress. I sleep on my back and am looking for a sleeping setup that will preserve my back health. I don't really have any preferences as I find most mattresses I find comfortable and my budget is around $800-1000. I figured there would be people here that have thoroughly researched this topic or maybe even have experience in chiropractics and could save me some time if they didn't mind sharing what they found.
>>76769663The best way to preserve back health in terms of sleeping is to have your pillows high enough that it keeps your neck neutral and to keep a pillow between your knees to keep your sacrum and lower lumbar neutral. Firmness depends on how wide your frame is. The wider your frame the softer your mattress should be because you'll sink into it more and it'll keep you in a neutral position. The main concern really is just that. Keeping your spine in as level of a position as you can

No alcoholNo caffeine (Extremely important)As little refined sugar as possible.Good sleep.Eating mostly meat, eggs and dairy. (Collagen, protein, cholesterol and saturated fat).No cosmetics like moisturizers, makeup and stuff like that. It's a scam and it just poisons your skin.No shampoo or conditioners. They are a scam too, and they'll make you go bald. Just use water.Sunlight is healthy but don't be under it for like 10 hours a day like a retard. An hour or two maximum most days. Avoid peak hours.Avoid pharmaceutical drugs like the plague. Most of them are an absolute scam that'll slowly kill you. Especially psychiatric drugs. They'll try to push on you as many as your gullible ass will take. You'll end up being a braindead libtard. Picture related. If you're a woman, no hormonal contraception. Women on the pill age like shit.Ideally avoid being a whore too because the promiscuity lifestyle is associated with all the other stuff that also ages you (alcohol, junk food, etc.).
The best way to preserve back health is to have a strong back. Herniated discs, hunchback, most back pains don't happen, when everything is supported by strong back muscles. Just don't lift so much that this will fuck your shit up.There are no magic back preserving mattresses. Just people that overcharge for foam. Just get something that you find comfortable.
>>76769821Some people swear by floor sleeping. They say that a firm surface to sleep on is best.https://youtu.be/8G5fgxy1u5M
>>76769814I'm a man I was just curious about the best mattress for sleeping I do the rest of the shit already.
>>76769663I started running again and developed really bad hip and lower back pain. I've been doing active stretches twice a week and the pain was all gone after just 2 weeks.Get into light yoga, massage your back with a foam roller, get plenty of sleep and don't ego lift.
>wants to preserve back health>thinks only of sleeping and not working out backAll you need
>>76769663Just don't squat or DL
As someone who rekt his lower back mid 20s:> don't neglect flexibility so that you can bend well> don't bother with squats or deadlifts (people will say heavy weight but i never pushed anything heavy but still snapped)> decompress your spine> do cardio/functional fitness for good posture
