What are the actual downsides of creatine if any? From what I 've read online its basically a magic powder that is>extremely well tolerated>virtually no negatives to taking it>basically saturates your muscles with energy, gets bigger and stronger>even your brain performs better on it>youd have to eat a stupid amount of meat to saturate your muscles with creatine>so you take creatine powder to boost it up without having to eat kgs of meat a dayWhy the hell isnt it common knowledge to take creatine? It seems like youre retarded not for taking it
I have not noticed anything negative or positive about it.
>>76771766My reading online suggests that you will gain like 50% more muscle on it as a noob and water in your muscles make them appear even bigger. Apparently it combats fatigue so if you dont get enough sleep creatine will basically keep you functioning way way better than if you didnt take it. It sounds like a magic substance to me.Its stupid they dont teach you stuff like this. One day I decide to look up creatine (today). I have no knowledge of creatine other than gymbros telling me it makes you bald (false) and it puts water in your muscle. To a layman that sounds stupid like its people trying to fraud.Turns out its a magic powder and gymbros are just bad at explaining
>>76771766Same lmao. I keep forgetting to take it >>76771773>50%
no reason not to take creatine. plus is super cheap.
>>76771778Online it says over 12 weeks you can put on up to 4 extra lbs of muscle with creatine as a noobThats insane
Well I noticed two thingsMy piss started smelling horrible after I started taking it, and it's not a hydration issue I'm getting plenty hydration. I got my yearly blood work done and I could see my creatinine levels absolutely sky rocketed after I started taking it so it's doing SOMETHING at least. I'm vegetarian so I'm probably back up to normal levels now which is nice. Lifts are going up but could just be because of progressive overloading. I dont know, it's dirt cheap, supposedly real good for you (especially vegetarians repportedly see big benefits), so I'll just keep taking it.
>>76771785Every time i start losing weight i lose like 4 lbs of water weight but my muscles dont really deflate but i'm still thinking it's creatine.
>>76771763Creatine shits.
>>76771766I gained a few pounds on bench but i feel more watery.
>>76771820>bro thinks he's made of water
>>76771828he means between his arsecrack because his diarrhead all over himself
>>76771820>i feel more watery
>>76771794I did some experimenting and found that I lose couple of reps (2-3) from big compound movements when off creatine. No negative side effects and it's cheap so I might as well take it.
>>76771833Does that increase gains?Asking for a dyel friend.
>>76771763I will give my testimony as someone who deals with insomnia that it does in fact help me when I haven't slept. Its a weird head high that almost doesn't make sense because it is just creatine but you also have to take a stupid amount of it. Funny because today I barely slept and I'm gonna have to chug some down. It does kind of upset my stomach though.
>>76772004In larger doses creatine also enhances cognitive functions,
I’ve been thinking about getting some creatine pills; bit more expensive than powder but easier to take
>>76771763The first time I've taken creatine was 22 years ago. Since then, I've been taking it on and off, sometimes for many consecutive years, and I've tried different types and dosages. I've never noticed anything.
>>76772128And the positives?
>>76772148Can't think of any that stand out, you just have to "trust" that it works, because you won't feel it. Let's put it this way: If, for some reason, you don't eat a lot of meat, and you suffer from chronic fatigue, you _might_ feel a very mild energy boost taking creatine.
>>76771794>I could see my creatinine levels absolutely sky rocketed after I started taking itCreatinine is a metabolite of creatine. The increase in this case is benign, but since creatinine is also increased with kidney problems, it may cause a possible misdiagnosis (or, in the case that the physician is familiar with creatine's effects and the fact that you're taking it, a failure to diagnose)Just stop taking it a week or two before a scheduled examination and you'll be fine
OP here, I went to the shop and bought some creatine. The bag I bought doesnt even have a scoop it says to do a flat teaspoon. I just scooped some out and shoved it in some water.I heard doing more the first week than the recommended amount helps to 'load' it anyway.
>>76771763if theres even 0.1% chance it will make you bald, its too big of a chance
Looking forward to tomorrow so I can take my second creatine dose. So exciting!!!!
>>76771794I noticed a similar thing with piss. I monitored it a bit, compared it. I urinate more while working out and on creatine. The more intense my workouts, the more smelly & cloudy the urine. It's lactic acid and bilirubin, nothing more. So it's rather a byproduct of energy metabolism and thermogenesis.
>>76771763it can make you violently shit like a gallon of watery shit.
>>76771844if you do it at the bottom of the squat in at the squat hole the it propels you upwards effectively
>>76771766I take 35g of this shit a day and notice no difference with or without.
Seems to be really good at helping you cope with sleep deprivation, especially at higher dosesAnd desu it's far more accessible than orexin agonists so I'll take it
>>76771763Blueberry-flavoured creatine should be added to the water supply.
>>76771763Makes you bald and bloated
downsides of creatine - it doesnt do shit
>>76771763It use to make me shit and fart all the time. Not anymore though. Idk what changed.
>>76772625This.as a full hairline chad with not a single fraction of hair loss, I refuse to use anything that will risk that
>>76771763There are no serious downsides. If you take too much (like 20 gram on a day) you might get some stomach aches and a headache though. > strength Yes it definitely does make a minor difference of gaining like 1-2% extra strength during a workout> endurance Not sure if its just endurance or extra strength but on creatine I always feel like I could do 1 more rep compared to if I'm not using. > brain improvement and feeling less tired with bad sleep Never noticed this directly. Benefits might be there but they would be minor.
>>76771763Downsides of creatine: >If you take an absurd amount and/or don't hydrate (but why wouldn't you hydrate?) you'll feel awful and maybe fuck up your kidneys >Some brands taste bad >Not entirely disproven chance it'll make you bald >It costs slightly more than $0 >I typically get a stomachache if I take it on an empty stomach >Some people don't like the way it makes their muscles look >Extra water weight makes sport weigh-ins more difficult >Supposedly, crazy high creatinine levels look suspicious on a drug test So not much. Mostly niche. Anyway bros, I'm running low on creatine and about to order some more. In the past, I've heard to just buy whatever the cheapest micronized creatine monohydrate is, but recently my dad mentioned NSF-certified and blah blah blah, I'm making this post unnecessarily long. What do you guys think, does NSF-certified matter?
>>76771763If you’re older than 35, frequent urination and prostate pressure. Bad enough I stopped using it after two months. The issues also stopped.
I remember when I was in high school OP.
>>76771763>What are the actual downsides of creatine if any?Shits been around since the 90's, so it's probably one of the safest supplements you can find.
Some people are hypo-non-responders which means they are already creatine saturated without taking it (fucking grim) so you will get a lot of biased opinions from lower-end genetic manlets and womanlets. This shit is the most tested supplement and it has barely any safety concenrs with OK results in most individuals. Do not expect roid-like results anyway. IF you happen to be a non-responder then stop taking it.
>depressed>anxious>somewhat sleep deprived>testosterone levels are down, as is libido>trying to improve my health bit by bitRight now i have>started to eat healthier (lost 17-18 pounds already, before this my weight was always the same, i looked a bit bloated (not super fat but overweight nevertheless), now i'm much leaner looking)>Drinking water, still not quite enough but a vastly different amount than before>Reduced my daily sugar intake>Workout 1 to 2 times a week, before it was 0>working with medical professionals on fixing me (without taking any anti-depressants ect.)RIGHT NOW, i'm out of the loading phase, and hoping that taking creatine will somewhat improve my brain and energy levels but so far i haven't noticed anything specific as far as my brain is concerned. Yeah, i can probably do a bit more in every workout. Negative side effects are that my skin is drier than before. But i have had skin problems before and i can't really fault that on creatine alone. It's all the stuff around it. So i'm continuing in taking it, 10g a day and calibrating my other bodily and mental functions to make it better work with me. I'll post here in fit when i get a breakthrough and i have something to show from this. I am cautiously optimistic. Perhaps i need to do something more to get it through the blood-brain barrier. Maybe my brain is taking it's time in getting back online since i have lived with in a depressive and stressful environment for years. So yeah, research continues
>>76771763Downside: It does not work.
>>76772597I explicitily told the nurse I took creatine and thats why those numbers were climbing. She didn't even bat an eye so I don't think the numbers are that bad.
>>76771763Hair loss.
Whats a good cheap brand to get creatine and other supplements?
>>76771763You're leaving gains on the table if you're natty and not taking creatine Also, caffeine makes you bald, not creatineMake sure you eat accordingly tho
Day 2 of taking creatine doneOn to day 3 tomorrow and a weights dayCreatine chads WAGMI
>>76771763>>76771773>le most researched supplementThat's because Jews want to make money of gymcels. Vaxx was also sold as safe and effective and you see the results of it lmao.Creatine is fucking pointless for an average gym goer. You get:>bloated like a pig>there are chances it will fuck up your kidneys>there is a high chance your hair will start thinning or even go full bald (inb4 fags coping with DHT study)I don't care about your kike paid studies. If they want to sell something, they will lie. Anecdotal evidence of people that have experienced those things is huge online. Are all of them lying? Or are the "scientists" lying? In short, you get two more reps on exercises for the price of being a bloated balding pig with fucked up kidneys and no money in the pocket. Enjoy.

>>76775130Found the guy whos too poor to afford 15 bucks a month. Go lift your cement buckets away from the creatinechads, brokey
>>76775743What a weird thing to post, so many projections. You use typical jewish tactics, seek rope, mental help won't fix your curse of being a semite.
>>76771763I have a kidney disease.
It is proven it can make you lose hair.Doesn t mean it will, tho.Basically it s a way to see if you have shit hair genetics or not.
>>76776117>takes toxic powder that has countless men going bald and is a known hair thinner>it's your genetics fault bro, you have shit hairMaybe don't take stupid useless shit in the first place, mate.
>>76776155Losing hair will always be connected to your genetics, unless you are doing chemio to fight cancer...If you lose hair because of creatine intake, you din t have that great of a hair.
