Remember that they:- Experienced almost no offline childhood- Rely more on parasocial relationships- Grew up through peak woke (i.e., “mean words and body language are violence”)- Had COVID lockdown during more psychologically formative years- Have lower test levels (true for every successive generation of men)- Have sex less frequently, if at all (higher virginity rated)- Go out less, party less (including drinking)Face-to-face human interactions, especially with strangers, genuinely cause them a lot of anxiety. Unironically, they would rather just cede you a machine than have to negotiate a longer conversation with you. I try to be a little extra nice to any Zoomer I talk to; they seem truly fucked up and it makes me kind of sad.
It's all people, honestly. I don't like to waste time so whenever someone is using equipment I need I just go and say "hey we're gonna have to share". 9 time out of 10 they happen to be done and I get the equipment to myself. Only rarely someone stays around and we take turns, most of the time it's people in actually good shape but those are also the types I bother the least cause they're unlikely to hog equipment and get in the way like the newfags.

I saw my Croatian younger brothers and sisters for my holidays a little while ago and they seemed really confident and cool, even though they also communicated mostly in memes. They also seemed to be doing very well at school, and when we had a deep conversation about philosophy and stuff they seemed able to navigate the territory with curiosity, kindness and grace.
