It depends entirely on your starting point and how hard are you willing to discipline yourself.Any average guy can get to 12% in like a month or so by fasting consistently and not eating grains or ultra-processed slop.But the average guy does not have this kind of discipline, and instead they waste literal years trying to do it with tiny calorie deficits while still eating junk food like a retard.Just don't fuckin eat and don't eat garbage. Fast 20 hours a day and in a month or two you'll be there, unless you're very obese.
Just track the calories, its not that hard. limit yourself to 1500 kcal max and in a month you will get there. You can eat literally anything but dont go over the limit.

Keep going to the gym and start doing -500 calorie deficit per day (you can zig-zag it), do 1 or 2 weeks of maintenance whenever you accumulate too much diet fatigue. Changing your eating habits will be better in the long run. Also train your upper trunk properly, the same amount of belly fat will look smaller on a guy with huge delts/back/chest, you can do 3 sets per lower muscle, as long as they are high quality you should see gains even if you lose weight (begginner boost)

If you eat a deficit of 500 cals of a maintenance of 2400 when you lose weight it's no good to keep eating 1900 cals. You have to adjust.
