>>76777927The exercise can vary greatly with form. If you do all reps from a full hang it's easier to do more reps as there seems to be an initial thrust from the "back" muscles. Another big factor is proportion / leverage.In your case it might also be a breathing issue - maybe you're too tense all the time which is gassing you.

>>76777927Its true, you probably are. You need sprints/intervals. Assault bike and jump rope is good for it outside of regular sprinting. The same thing happened to me and I am 7kg heavier. Going from 8 to 20 chin-ups and pull-ups was mostly my cardio getting better. Calisthenics have a large cardio component but most people doing them are really skinny so it does not come up much.
