I've always hated squats, to reach depth i need to bend forward a lot, almost fold completely.I know i have shit proportions for squats, tall, very long femurs and a short torso.Recently decided to try Zercher Squats and it felt much easier and for the first time i felt them almost entirely in my quads and not just glutes/lower back.My arms hurt but i figure i'll get used to it eventually. Seriously, if you have shit proportions for regular back squats, try zerchers.

>>76779554You don't have bad proportions for squats, you just haven't optimized your form, most likely stemming from lack of ankle mobility In a squat, your knees and hips need to be as forward as possible at the bottom while keeping the weight mid foot.Squat/Oly shoes can help you with this but low and high bar should both be almost identical form with your knees and hips forward If your femurs are actually long (they aren't), you just need to spread your feet so your knees track outward allowing your torso to still stay upright at the bottom

>>76781148Leg press, leg extensions, leg curls and back extensions required to make it up. If you do all of those you will get overall better development than just squats but its a lot to sub. Much safer though amd honestly better looking legs longer term.

Once the weight gets heavy, you will begin to naturally try to use your lower back to lift the weight and then you might get injured for the same reason people get injured doing Good Mornings. If you can't squat, try doing Bulgarian split squats or lunges.
