I've just used the last of a box of canned pintos I found in a local grocery's clearance bin a few months ago (this place buys pallets of assorted excess from importers, their stock is highly variable)

Maybe add some cheese/eggs/chicken on the side to supply the demand of some aminos and let the beans fill the gap.
