It's true there are ways in which plants are nutritionally lacking. But it's a huge category of foods with wildly different properties. Eschewing grains or even leafy greens is one thing; to also deprive yourself of secret weapons like garlic, ginger, tea/coffee, rosemary and other herbs, etc. that could be improving your performance as well as your health, is arbitrary self-sabotage. Also,>needPhrasing things this way makes it sound like non-essential means should be avoided, which evidence doesn't support. You can survive without polyphenols n sheeit but people who consume lots of them in their diets consistently have healthier bodies than those who don't. If you wanna eat overwhelmingly meat I won't stop you, but I strongly encourage allowing at least a small number of high-quality plants. Blueberries and blackberries, walnuts and some other nuts, avocados, pomegranates, kiwis- these are pretty much all upside, no antinutrients to worry about and not much sugar.
