Where does the non-lifter belief come from where they think if you lift weights that you must think you are some kind of tough guy?

I sometimes see it here where MMAfags will come here just to try and 1-up people who lifting posting memes like "hurr durr u fink da mussel man can kick this skinny guys ass, but u'd be wrong!" and its a picture of some random bodybuilder put next to a picture of some skele UFC fighter or fat boxer
>>
fyi: im only asking where this bs comes from because ive been lifting for 20+ years and not once have i ever thought lifting made me a tough guy or the alpha male or that it has any effect on fighting ability, not once has anything like that ever come to my mind

The only things ive ever thought as a lifter is

1) it helps me stay lean way easier

2) it gives me general strength for moving heavy objects

3) it gives my body a type of definition that cant be obtain in any other activity

>>
>>76788211
>gets arrested immediately because White
>charged with hate crime against Romans
>global headlines of you being a White supremacist racist
>your entire family gets doxxed
>your gf/wife leaves you
>your kids are forced to change schools and names
>you lose your house in the proceeding divorce
>you get bashed & jail raped by Romans on a weekly basis

You cant do shit Timmy, ur guns are literally display toys and paper weights

Gym is a modern male's shrine of masculinity. Since the modern male is effectively neutered and put in submission in real life, he comes to the gym and pretends that moving iron chunks around brings him back to his masculine roots. For a short beautiful moment, as he achieves new bench PR, the modern male feels whole again. Then he goes back to his wage cage and cunt wife.

stop being so stupidly modest and timid, feels like you're forcing this perspective
it's pretty simple really, if you're muscular and actually work on it by practicing your various motor functions, then you're way more likely to perform better in a violent situation in which you have to grab, shove, punch or just defend yourself from being subdued
these situations are always relatively chaotic, but general physical robustness will usually work in your favor, so as a lifter you're in most cases harder to beat up than someone who just runs or fucking climbs and has business in staying light
lifting is not a combat training but will very directly assist you in performing a lot of violent motor patterns
if you've been lifting for 20+ years, you most likely started as a teenager, haven't you noticed that getting stronger gave you an edge in juvenile play fights with your mates?

lol im so cooked.

I don’t think this is cringe at all, but rather based and awesome and I wish I had the social courage to do this

what are the chances a roman soldier attacks me?

wtf anon are you even human?

>Where does the non-lifter belief come from where they think if you lift weights that you must think you are some kind of tough guy?
Because there are some retards that genuinely think like this. Case in point: >>76788259
The most dangerous guys in fights are always low iq trash that got beat by their dads as kids.
>>
>>76788306
fairly certain it's a twenty four hour gym at around 2am.
>>
>>76788188
Same reason why people train MMA/martial arts with no intention of competing. Insecurity.
>>
>>76788512
This is true.
t. beat his dad since 14
>>
>>76788188
the whole obsession over tough guys are for small brained high schoolers that are likely scared of spiders or a woman having a serious conversation with them. You start to completely filter out those race bait fight videos on social media and arguments when teenage years are done.

>>76788188
Some lifters are wimps
>>
>>76788192
Its just insecurity from dyels. Keep being stronger than 95% of men.
>>
>>76788188
it's femoid techniques. If a bitch has a superior body that mogs all the bitches on her social circle, they will say she is a whore or bitch whenever she dares to show a quarter of her cleavage. Same for dyel males, they will try to bring down gym culture because they look (or eventually will) look better than them.
>>
>>76788188
Yeah because seconds is all I'd need to send the manlet back to his time.

>a trained fighter can most likely beat an untrained fighter
whoa. mindblowing
>>
>>76788188
Because a lot of lifters do think that they're a tough guy because they lift. They're not wrong in the sense that generally, getting stronger will make you more formidable, but they're wrong in thinking that they can beat people up just because they're bigger than them. The whole meme of a skinny MMA fighter vs a big bodybuilder is the perfect ragebait to draw out bodybuilders who think that they're tough.
It's all kind of retarded, though. The world is safe and these imaginary scenarios don't happen
>>
>>76788922
Yeah I always thought that that debate sparked too much discussion
>the fighter is better at fighting
Very shocking
