I recently switched to a 24 hour fitness cause work hours, and at the age of 31 I am consistently in the top 5 strongest in the room at a 3 plate bench and OHP 225, usually the people I see that are stronger are older, and I see a bunch of young kids who work out in packs or are doing some excercise science bullshit. See im from a material no longer made a better time when you could call someone a faggot or offend someone and they could be offended, but it ended there. Statistically speaking your grandfather and your father had more sexual partners than you, and if you look at this current Gen the number of male virgins over 18 is increasing, my guess would be because you dont know how to talk to women, since everything is virtual these days, however because of hypergamy these numbers have not changed for women.In short sometimes no im not worried about your generation, you are the softest ply. My dad started me on calisthenics and said to progressively overload and do a ton of bar work. I thought he was an idiot spouting whatever bullshit he learned in the military, and started lifting weights. I did powerlifting from a dyel to a state level competitor over the course of 10 years. Then covid happened. I got kicked out of the gym thanks to governor sickolak and his minor cold, and had to work out in the parks. Then he took the parks away, and I had to lift at home using my carport as a base for tons of pullups and dips. Fast forward another 5 years, I'm doing plyometrics, lots of bar work, lots of calisthenics, and focusing on long term joint health and core stability. I used to give the crossfit guys so much shit, and still do, but they were so close. HIIT, plyometrics, rock climbing, calisthenics. Leave heavy lifting for the genetically gifted. I'm far more impressed I can planche and do handstand pushups now in my late 30s than the fact I could bench 300lbs in my late 20s. I also went to school for kinesiology and am now working on my masters for athletic training and sports science. It's like my dad was always right, and he didn't even know why he was right.
