u can change which muscles work by adjusting 5 parameters: trunk angle, shin angle, foot rotation, stance width, and squat depth.
the relationship between trunk and shin angle determines whether the squat emphasises hip muscles or knee muscles. Leaning forward more = hip dominant, upright with shins forward = knee dominant.
EMG is used to determine muscle activation bot :D repeatable empiricism bot if u have ever heard of it, not your asinine 4chin polak ramblings that u just invent to try and feel smart :D
