I heard this many, many years ago. Supposedly it revs up your metabolism. I think it's probably true, but ultimately if you're not ready to count calories or modulate your food intake based on daily weighing you're NGMI.

I have a rough meal plan with various things i sub in and out but weighing my breastesses was too much. Seems to be working. 7 pounds lighter than last week. But i just finished a 4th month "dirty bulk"
>>
No breakfast.
People didn't eat breakfast until relatively recently. It is unnecessary.

Save your carbs for later 2-3 hrs before you lift

Forgot to also add + 2 double espresso

Black coffee.

I think the single greatest tool for losing weight is just skipping breakfast. Sure, CICO or whatever but literally just skip breakfast and you will shed the pounds fast and without having to worry about anything else.
>>
>>76803369
Wrong it is optimal to eat 150-200grams of protein depending on weight on a cut spread in 3 meals so you have to consume protein in the morning

>>76803369
Do you find your lifts stay the same intensity/length without breakfast>>76803357

Youll kinda wanna cap off protein every few hours as the higher your bmr is the faster you digest protein and is why bodybuilders do so many meals. So like 50g of protein for breakfast then 20g every few hours between meals is a solid meal plan, i do a little more just so im at peak protein synthesis and it helps recovery too even on a cut.
>fats
All types not a ton when full, preferably butter and evoo, fatty fish also and same time as bulk of nutrients.
>carbs
Insulin spike with protein builds more muscle/fat, usually keep high carbs throughout the day so you build more muscle.
>>
>>76802626
Cottage cheese, coffee maybe a kiwi.
On a cut I usually avoid carbs until the part of the day where I'm relaxing. It's too easy to get unexpected hypoglycemia when you exercise and do cardio on a diet.

>>
>>76802646
use a berry mix and you are correct, blueberrys are the worst of all berries taste and nutrition wise
add 1 scoop of protein powder
add 1 tbsp each of chia + linseed
ultimate breakfast (fiber, protein, vitamins, polyphenols, antioxidants)
>>
>>76802626
high protein low carbs one, I myself love cottage cheese and beef... yeah sometimes I eat steak for breakfast, no fries or any other carbs, just steak and some leafy greens ike spinach or rukola.

generally high carbs products like grains (wheat, oats etc.) along with sugar of any kind (even syrups and/or honey) are setting your body up for fat storage (not in very small quantities but eaten regularly or in big portions), its fine when buking but please keep protein intake in norm (around 1.5g of protein per kg of body mass, depends on the training regimen)

when cutting from fat all you need to do is to cut carbs and kalories a little and instead eat more protein, it will keep you satiated, your body needs protein when cutting to keep your muscles and organs in shape.

cutting carbs and eating more protein will also result in better diagnostic data in type 2 pre-diabetics btw, I've seen it doing wonders to people.

>blueberrys are the worst of all berries taste and nutrition wise

True, they are bland and pale, taste like water with sugar... nothing beats a good Vaccinium myrtillus aka. European blueberry... its flavourfull, deep purple on the inside and packed with vitamins and minerals...
>>
>oatmeal for bulking
why? it's low-calorie, especially for how filling it is. i'd say the opposite, oatmeal is good for losing weight.
>>
>>76802626
coffee with nothing
>>
>>76802626
Oatmeal is for bulking because it has a significant fat content, rice would be for cutting.
>>
>>76802626
How is this not good for cutting either? Unless you are a retard who buys the premade stuff with all the sugars and shit, this is one of the most satiating and healthy breakfasts to have on a cut, you just need to know how to make it and its easy as fuck, I just make it with berries and protein powder and I'm full for the rest of the day basically
>>
>>76802626
>he eats insipid grain sludge for breakfast
lmao ngmi
>>
>>76805630
it really depends on your eating habits, if you're used to eating oatmeal sweet with fruit or chocolate or if your dinner isn't high in protein then its a dessert and you're bulking...

It can be good for cutting if you're training regimen is extensive and your daily protein intake is high enough...

saying that a particular meal is for bulking or cutting is a simplification and in a context of someone who can't lose weight exchaning oats for meat f.ex. is a good idea
>>
>>76805686
that's kind of silly. anything becomes a "bulking" food if you mix a dessert into it.
>>
>>76805750
Yes thats how people bulk with oats, people love bulking because it gives them an excuse to eat slop
>>
>>76803357
Yeah, that's very "doable hahah
>>
>>76805636
truth nuke
>>
>>76805750
its silly but its true, and its literally the main reason why people are struggling with weigtloss, they actively decide to eat sugarry trash and are then weirded out by the fact that they are fat.

point is, low carbs and high protein balance is crucial for weightoss, especially if one is used to eating shit on a daily basis.

Black coffee, water
>>
>>76802626
coffee and cigarette
>>
>>76805566
It was three ounces of half and half, a scoop of protein powder. I don't know what's so "power" about that.
>>
>>76805655
Generally, people buy rolled oats, which exposes more of the surface area and makes them very high glycemic, even though they are a whole grain.
>>
>>76805685
>If I pile on negative adjectives onto a neutral term, it makes it bad in reality.
>>
>>76805839
coffe is fine and while a cigarette may lower the hunger it is advised for overweight people to restrain themselves from smoking as high cholesterol and smoking together result in a high risk of cardiovasular problems f.ex. Atherosclerosis which can cause problems like cerebral ischaemia (nausea, headaches, high unregulated stress, sleepiness and in some more hardcore cases even a stroke)

if quitting smoking is not possible, at least drink a lot of water and stay out of direct sun during the day to mittigate some of that risk.
>>
>>76805839
Unironically this.
>>
>>76802626
Egg whites
Fruit
Greek yogurt
>>
>>76805655
its glycemic index is sky high for a base of a meal, a lot of carbs and not a lot of protein makes it more of a sugary treat than a cutting meal even though it doesn't have to be sweet in flavour.

>>76805850
this, but also grains in general are high in carbs and have high glycemic index, maybe if they were eating rolled barley or rye it could be a little better.

Idk about US but in EU we also have two different types of oats, thick/old-fashioned oats/mountain and thin/instant ones, while thick takes few minutes to cook and has IG ~40 thin ones cook instantly and have IG ~65
>>
>>76802629
This, or eggs and sausage in general.
