Why do people refuse to accept the reality that as a natural lifter the only way you gain muscle is to get stronger? It's such an odd thing for people to be resistant about, it feels like im a kid again telling other kids santa or the tooth fairy isn't real and they start crying and telling me im wrongWhat is it about having to get stronger to gain muscle as a natural that is so demotivating and scary for people to hear?
up she goes!
and up she goes again!
and it goes up again until people find the balls to discuss this
>>76803498isnt this intuitiveyou dont even feel sore unless you liftnheavyits intuitive to feel your muscles grow faster and bigger after you really push hard and get some good doms goingwho are these people who are resistant? have you EVER met anyone irl who believes this tripe? or do you base your reality on trolls?
>>76804842The vast majority of people follow the bodybuilders on 10 grams of gear who tell them "dw bout the weight brah, just feel the squeeze brah, you're a bodybuilder, not a weight lifter brah"and then they proceed to never make any gains
>>76804851Normalfags do not want effort in the gym, they want easy lifting.
>>76804842>isnt this intuitiveIt's not. Most people focus on rep ranges, splits, feeling the burn, doms, etc. Weight on the bar is an aftetthought. On top of that, lots of folks thing that lifting heavy is unsafe and never add weight past a measly half plate or so. Of course they rarely make any gains.

>>76804842>who are these people who are resistant? have you EVER met anyone irl who believes this tripe?I'm not OP and yes. People are really really risk averse. To a lot of people adding weight to the bar is "ego lifting"
>>76803498People find ways to rationalize rep chasing with static weights (and calisthenics) because it means they don't have to buy anything. Someone says it's a fraction as effective and they naturally assume it has to be a big fraction. Even the pessimist would think "maybe it's 30% as effective still means progress right?" but if you were to tell them it's 4-8% as effective as adding weight and only assuming they remain injury free long enough they might pick up some new weights and see the difference manifest.
Increasing weights is hard, making up some meme training style and claiming its just as good as progressively overloading weight is easy. Especially when the meme training styles give people a temporary pump, it gives them the illusion of an effective training session, but no long-term grainy hard dense results.
