almost 100 percent of people are ego lifting in the gym

strength training is pointless, and these buffoons aren't even doing strength training

no warmups, motherfucks out here are going full retard on the daily, 2 sets of 4 or less

then they go fuck off to do the next half assed exercise

it's like these people never did any research on weightlifting and just picked fuck around

although my lifts are mostly pretty light at the moment I go up to 20 reps on my warmups, and then 10-15 on my working sets, so an actually effective bodybuilding routine

has 90 percent of the population never used google before, I'm genuinely confused at the dunning kruger effect where every dude is just doing the julian fitzgerald but not blasting enough roids to get big, some are but most aren't

I strength trained in high school injured myself on starting strength twice 15 years ago got the idea from here, tried it a few more times until I was 21, took 10 years off and now I'm back

1 I have terrible proportions for deadlifting, literally like some of the worst, very short arms long torso, very wide stance and feet point outwards and obstruct the bar path because knees are in the way, I was always told basically you have to deadlift 400 or you're weak I got my squat and dl up to like 325 3x5 back then but then I hurt my back multiple times

my shoulder press was always the best because I'm set up really well to press, pressed 160 for a 3x5 this year

got burnt out on strength training, and now it's just blatantly obvious how stupid building your whole routine upon dick measuring for insecure dudes online is

strength means nothing, am I working the muscle to proper fatigue, is my muscle getting bigger, does it feel good and properly worked, am I feeling any pain

there is a reason for this, it prevents injury and makes you bigger, and it's better for your cardio

arnold didn't have big lifts for his size, his max deadlift on over 500mg test a week was like 550 and he had extremely long arms and legs and an insane physical advantage for that lift

simply put he did not lift for strength past his teen years, and to imply that even 10 percent of the big time bodybuilders did strength training would be disingenuous and frankly, quite stupid as it is very easy to find out what they did and what their opinions were

Adjusting reps is much less dangerous, and there is a larger margin for error

Too much weight is an invitation to snap city, you might be having an off day and fuck up your 300lb bench and that's a snap city event, whereas a guy doing 200 for 10-15 reps is risking nothing and can stop at any time because the weight is manageable

Strength training is always trying to balance on the edge of managability instead of easing into your potential in a set

I'm afraid you're just mistaken. Arnold for instance deadlifted over 7 plates. All these guys pretty much had huge lifts. You usually don't get there by doing 12+ reps. Once they built that base of size and strength they 'honed in' their physique doing silly bs. That's what bodybuilding is basically. 90% of it is the same as powerlifting. The only difference is they then do a bunch of stuff on top to make relatively superficial changes. A big powerlifter for instance and big bodybuilder are not that different. They're a lot closer to each other than a small bodybuilder and big bodybuilder are.
