I tried the neck harness. Went from 20 reps with 25 lbs to 20 with 50 and saw no increase. Fortunately just from lifting my neck grows.

>>76862060Machine is much better, the force on the neck is the same through the whole movement. Doesn't change as a factor of the angle of your neck and gravity. Feels very stable there is a chest pad and hand holds to hold on to. I've tried the plate on my head on a bench then moved to a neck harness with a weight pin then to neck harness with a cable machine. Then got this used for the home gym. Harness with a cable machine is comparable though but I felt I could injured myself more easily with that set up since to get into the starting position its already pulling against the direction of the movement. So your neck is in constant tension during the whole set. Where as on a dedicated neck machine the range of motion is defined and static. You do a rep and there is a stopping point where your neck isn't under tension.
is it just me or is isolating your neck retarded. How are you not hitting it when you hit shoulders?
