How much do you lateral raise /fit/?
>>
Been doing 15 lbs (dumbells) at the end of my shoulder day and it feels like too much.
>>
>>76862917
a bit, and sometimes a bit more
>>
Like 10 or 15 lb dumbbells for 12 reps. Honesty the results you get aren’t worth the effort I feel
>>
>>76862917
35lbs (cables) for 4 sets of 12 reps
I'm scared of egolifting but from what I see in the mirror my form is not bad

Bizarre response.
>>
30lbs for 10 reps, 2 sets
>>
>>76862917
12 kilos for 15 reps, no swing, dumbbell must go above shoulder. i rarely do tHem nowadays tho, eGyptians mucH better.
>>
>>76862917
12.5kg for 12 reps.
>>
20kg cable raise,
1 set to failure (14 this week shiggydiggy)
2 back of sets of 20/15kg for 1-2 reps shy of failure. Depends how heavy the first back off set feels.
>>
I do 35s for 3 sets of 15

I do them sitting down to limit cheating but I also allow myself to rock forward and backwards. So there is some cheating but I think thats the best way to do them.
>>
>>76862917
11.3kg on the cable for 8 repetitions.
>>
What's the proper form for a dumbbell lateral raise? I've seen a lot of conflicting information.
>>
5 pound dumbells. Sets of 50+. Also lots of static holds
>>
>>76863763
thumb up to avoid internal rotation of the arm like jeff says.
you won't get maximal activation but you won't fuck up your shoulder joint.

there's something wrong here
i'm a skinny fat dyel that is still far far away from 1/2/3/4 and i do 30lbs 3 sets 8 reps lat raises
and no i don't have huge shoulders
>>
>>76864968
Because you likely use other muscles than your medial delt
>>
10kg dumbbells for 3x15

>>76863663
>I do them sitting down
i lose core tension when i do sitting down lateral raises.
>>
>>76862917
Like 16kg for 12 good reps lol not even big btw, this board is so fucking weak and brown
>>
>>76865109
People aren't aware of how much weight they can lat raise because it's an awkward even at lower numbers. I spent ages on 12kg dumbbells until a month ago when I decided to test out the 14s. Now I'm doing 16s easily.

I can technically lift twice as much as i do, laterally. But i feel other muscles engaging when i do. Always felt like lat raises were shit in general.

Imagine screenshotting your own bizarre diatribe, and posting it with this response. Seek help
>>
4 x 2 & 14-15 (0-2 RIR) dumbbell lateral raises each week and also 3 (4nd) x 2 13-16 (0-1 RIR) (same concept) cable lateral raises and also golf swims as a finisher on Saturdays.
>>
>>76862917
I'll legitimately use 40lbs not humping the weight but more like 25-35 for front/mid/rear delts braced.
>>
>>76867729
But I can also do like 70+lbs rear delt flies no I dont know how they're smaller than my mid delts so I'd guess if I was doing some gay shit it'd be the same for front or mid, suck it egolifter gaylords.
