I'm not a keto shill but why is it so fucking hard to lean out when eating carbs?
Yes I understand it's CICO and I've gone from 20% bf to 10% bf once but I was mostly doing very high protein with very low carb and low fat.
I remember my diet consisting of mostly chicken and broccolis, eggs. I was kinda doing a mix of carnivore with PSMF but my carbs were under 50g a day. The fat melted off pretty fast.
Now I'm trying to cut while still eating carbs but it feels like my hunger never goes away and I'm always wanting to binge eat, I didn't feel like this on carnivore/PSMF, I also feel bloated all the time on carbs.
It sucks because I love eating rice, pasta, bread and all other kinds of carbs but it just feels like my body rejects it.

>why is it so fucking hard to lean out when eating carbs?
because they make you feel hungry all the time and wanting to binge eat
>>
>>76863762
so If I want to lean out again I should ditch carbs?
>>
Carbs make you hold more water, hence the water bloat.

kek you don't know shit. You're not even ready for the real answer because you're still stuck on these midwit plebbit memes. I'll give you a hint: metabolic systems are not bomb calorimeters.

yes. They're clearly degrading your cognitive functions

you need to do omad. its insanely hard to cut on 3 meals a day because you constantly get little spurts of energy and never really get full. omad is incredibly easy because you already are in a fasted state from sleep so you can go about your day very easily without that initial hunger spike say a few hours after eating breakfast. Maybe eat a banana for preworkout but your dinner meal should basically be about a 2k calorie bomb where you just get stuffed so youll basically be fasting 24 hours a day its incredibly simple. Also you should workout just before dinner as the hunger spike after working out can be difficult to ignore. it seems memey but for those with dogshit willpower it helps

You probably look like shit and are eating too much fat. What you're saying just isn't true.

I probably still look DYEL for /fit/ standards but I looked pretty good at my leanest literally eating 1k cal a day on very low carb and fat. Diet was pretty much oatmeal in the morning with a banana before gym then for the rest of the day I only ate chicken breast fillet with occasionally broccolis.
My libido lowered a bit but my face and body looked 10x better.
>>
>>76863485
if you were high protein, and low carb and low fat does that mean you were still in keto?? just a wonky state of it

>I'm not a keto shill but why is it so fucking hard to lean out when eating carbs?
have you tried consulting medical literature? carbs spike insulin production and insulin is what forces fat storage. it also prevents lypolysis which is what you want to achieve when you are trying to lose body fat. as a matter of fact continuous consumptions of carbs will lead to insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia, which is a self reinforcing cycle leading to you having more difficulty losing body fat as the metabolic problem worsens. this is also the reason why you'll find it more difficult to lose weight when you are older, or why you "gain a pound of fat per year". its not the age its the progression of insulin resistance/hyperinsulinemia. all well described in medical literature, specifically endocrinology. read a book, faggot.
just in case you cannot read, this picture demonstrates the effect of insulin injections. localized fat cell growth.

nta but it actually just depends on whether you're in a calorie surplus

>nta but it actually just depends on whether you're in a calorie surplus
akshully, it still is relevant even in caloric deficit.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15533250/
low carb vs high carb. the low carb group consumed more calories (1855 kcal/day low carb, 1562 kcal/day high carb). the study also points out significantly higher trunk fat loss (visceral fat) in the low carb group. that's the effect of hormones. OP asked why he is having more a difficult time losing body fat when consuming carbs and that's the explanation.
>>
>>76864919
the study you posted literally proves my point that it's about calories
also it's garbage they don't even measure energy balance, and it's known that low carb diets increase energy expenditure
>>
>>76864850
just a different perspective as to why calories are not really relevant: type 1 diabetics will generally not be able to put on any amount of body fat without insulin injections. its a physiological impossibility. they do tend to get fat when injected with insulin as a therapy. while this doesn't yet tell you anything about caloric surplus or deficit the fact that some of the more "smart" type 1 diabetics come to the (correct) conclusion that lowering their insulin dosages will also help them lose weight (it does). so they underdose their injections to remain thin while consuming a garbage diet. so they directly manipulate their own fat storage without adjusting their diets (obviously lazy and retarded) and the cost of their own health as that leads to elevated blood glucose levels.
>>
>>76864925
>the study you posted literally proves my point that it's about calories
it does not since the low carb group consumed MORE calories and lose more body fat.
>also it's garbage they don't even measure energy balance, and it's known that low carb diets increase energy expenditure
the human body is not a closed system. if you wanted to create a some type of energy equation you would need to create a virtual boundary around the system and measure the in and output. this would also include excretions (aka measuring the caloric content of shit). this is frequently done in a lob setting on animals but will not be done with humans for obvious reasons.
the increased "energy expenditure" is not a surprise since the body will tend to produce significantly more ketone bodies which will not be used for energy purposes and will be excreted (which is why you can quite literally smell the result of ketone production in the breath, sweat and urine). that's the reason why the additional ketones that are the result of increased lypolysis can be measured in urine. since ketone bodies have a caloric content you are literally pissing out needlessly stored energy. this generally results in an additional loss of about 300 kcal/day all coming out of fat mass. again, this is increased fat cell metabolism, that's the increased fat loss.

I dont get hunger spikes after breakfast. I only eat lunch because I have an hour lunch break with no bitch to fuck nothing to do but eat, workout outside which makes me smelly, or watch cockroaches.

Have you read any others in his trilogy? I loved Children of Time and only recently noticed that he wrote two more books, idk if they're actual continuations though.

can't be that bad tho. Children was a banger

People still fall for the keto meme, you'll learn though. Eventually you'll realize the dietary platitude of eating whole foods and eating in moderation was true all along, occam's razor.

Cutting should be done fast so you can get back to lean bulking again, I've never really done keto retardation with eating butter and shit but I've gone from 25% bf to 10% avoiding carbs as much as I could, I was probably doing PSMF or carnivore, it's the fastest way to cut
>>
>>76863485
The leanest people in the world are Asians and they eat white rice with every meal.

Not a health indicator. They also have the highest rates of diabetes

How do you not lose a shit ton of muscle eating only 1kcal/day over a long period of time
>>
if you need some meme diet to psyop yourself, more power to you

willpower chads can cico it up and the upside is better glycogen replenishment even in a deep cut
>>
>>76863485
Carbs help you retain water. They're also not that satiating. So you're eating something that makes your water weight go up and that doeesn't really help with hunger.

>>76867319
Because out of 1k cal, 900 of em were probably just protein, as long as you're getting a lot of protein and still lifting hard you won't lose as much muscle as people say
