I have the body of a 12 year old Indian girl (I’m a 28 year old white guy) I never worked out and every time I tried my brain doesn’t turn “off” and “fail” thus I end up overworking and the lactic acid build up takes like 4 weeks to go away. How to I become strong? Is this normal? What does work out until failure mean? My body doesn’t do that as far as I understand. Am I just retarded and is this normal? If you have just started you are not overworking and you're no where near the limits of your current musculature. Your body is sore because you don't train regularly and it's not used to the work. After a couple of weeks you will adapt and the majority of the soreness will go away. Failure is when you literally cannot move the weight even with form break down. It's good to get to failure occasionally however try to stay a couple of reps away most of the time.Find lifts you enjoy, do them regularly, with intensity and try to add weight or a rep every week. Drink lots of milk.You will become big and strong in no time
