Been going to a different gym lately which is pretty awesome; they have more space and more options. But all the machines are ancient. Is it really that difficult/expensive to get the padding replaced?

>>76870897is it really that hard to bring a towel and put it down over the padding?Imagine Plato working out, he didn't even have weights and machines and shit. He was totally ripped just from picking up rocks of different sizes and fucking dudes in the ass
>>76871428The issue with old padding is it's either torn or slicker than shit. It's not hard to replace the padding, but most shitty older gym owners are just bad at owning and keeping up with a gym.The shitty one I go to had horrible barbells and I actually convinced the owner to buy new ones. He bought cheap shitty ones again and they're already bent. I just bring my own barbell now
>>76871695imagining some guy getting out of his car at the gym, go around to the trunk, and pull out a barbell before carrying it inside is fucking hilarious
>>76871794I did that once while I built my homegym but I just left it there for anyone to use. A powerlifting competition bar, just for a couple of weeks. Would absolutely NOT recommend. It attracted the worst kind of crosshit DYEL blackmetal enthusiast tryhard cockmongler. At least they were all weak.
