Been eating salmon five times a week for the past 3 months or so now and feel fine. Honestly thinking of upping my intake to everyday. Is mercury poisoning even a thing? I have never heard of a single case from eating too much fish.

The amount of fish you need to eat to get mercury poisoning is a huge amount and it has to come from high mercury fish even then(salmon isn’t). There people who eat fish everyday or every other day, just look at japs. It’s one of the biggest nothingburgers out there
>>
>>76872230
If I could afford it, practically every gram of protein I consumed would be salmon filet
>>
>>76872709
Yeah same, I don't even like fish, but salmon is just too good.

It's more for pregnant women than for men but mercury can fuck up reproductive cells so you could get a flipper baby if you're eating a lot of high mercury low selenium content fish but it's not like the 1800s mercury stuff.

fish is great for you. ((who)) do you think started pushing the "fish will mercury poison you" propaganda and why?
>>
>because of catholic retardation, people don’t consider fish meat in the same vein they do birds and mammals
Thank god, faggot ass nutritionists, vegans, activists, and vegetarians will never come after fish they did red meat

>salmon
The mercury risk isnt exactly there, but dude I hope you're getting wild alaskan because atlantic is farmed dogshit full of ungodly contaminations besides non-mercury heavy metals. It is one of the most contaminated animal foods on Earth. You've been eating quite a bit of it but I'm sure you're fine, just calm the fuck down and eat something else you fucking tard, and switch to wild alaskan.

Knew a dude who ate 3 cans of tuna a week, he ended up with mercury poisoning and they had to remove it from his brain, now he is bald with a steel skull and has to use a stick on his head to type.
>>

Wait just three cans a week led to this? How much did he weight?
>>
>>76874319
Normal weight, 180lb for 5'10.
It's a real danger.
>>
>>76874322
Shit, that's fucked. Wasn't aware tuna is that dangerous.

Japs have higher rates of stomach cancer, even on their usually high standard sanitary practices, probably because their diet mostly comes from the sea. Heavy metal poisoning is something you should be mindful of if you eat too much fish, you can eat mostly farmed fish as a way to mitigate that issue.

I would like to run my own salmon farm at home and to buy a smoker so I can have smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels for life.
>>

Big fish eat more mercury the little fish they dont mercury as much I only eat sardines
>>
>>76874572
Sardines very high in mercury, avoid.
>>
>>76874646
No they're not cos they don't eat enough mercury In their life lmfao u don't know nothin about fish I eat sardines nigga I eat them from the oceans
>>
I looked up cases of mercury poisoning in the past and they all had VERY noticeable symptoms, so I don't even worry about eating tuna now. If I get poisoned I'll know it. As long as it's not every single day eating tuna I'll be fine, and tuna is basically the highest mercury fish you can get.

You're actually more in danger of heavy metals from tree nuts and coffee and tea, but boohoo cry about it write a novel.

Fish higher in the food chain tend to get more mercury. Salmon are kind of in the middle because they eat anything from plankton to invertebrates and other fish, but are generally pretty safe from mercury. Tuna, swordfish and shark tend to be pretty high in it though.
>>
>>76874504
Japs also drink and smoke a metric fuckton. But it must be the fish lol.
>>
>>76874656
Enjoy your mercury poisoning and brain damage.

Asians have shitty alcohol enzymes, which is the reason for asian flush. Guess what alcohol in undegraded form increases? Stomach and throat cancer risk

Its entirely because japs love to drink alcohol even with their shitty alcohol gene
>>
>>76874646

>>

it takes years to buildup until you finally get the effects and you probably wont know thats the cause, it happenned to me i had been eating tuna every other day for years feeling fine, but came a time where i started to feel unwell after eating, my digestion was always very slow and i felt like shit at night with being unable to fall asleep, constantly waking up.
The body can soak up alot of nasty shit especially when you're young.
