I just did 85 strict, dead hang, weighted, wide arm pull-ups for my fucking back day. 25lbs, with fucking VOLUME! Took me 35 minutes!!! NOBODY here takes calisthenics as seriously as I do. This would break most men. My back day was fucking PHENOMENAL. This is the GOATED back day exercise.
>>
>wide arm

grats on hitting teres major and upper back, no lats tho
>>
>>76872772
You're retarded if you think lats aren't hit from wide arm.
>>
>25lbs
>bragging
I was doing that at 3 months in.. call me when you do 90lbs for 5 sets of 10
>>
>>76872772
Vertical pulls work the lats (often refereed to as "back width"), horizontal (rows) the upper back (refereed to as "back thickness"). Hope this knowledge helps you in your journey.
>>
>>76872881
I can do that. Can I call you now? If youre not too busy, of course
>>
>>76872881
>90lbs for 5 sets of 10
Kipping, shit range of motion, and low volume anyway. Guarenteed.
>>
>>76873007
>5x10
>being low volume at any weight
Retard
>>
>>76873007
No, just a rock climber. I 1rm my body weight (75kg + 85kg) strict, from dead hang, to my chest. You’re a prison bitch
>>
>>76872897
bro science

>>76873067
why can't you """""people"""""" ever just talk about things without turning into 10 year olds on the playground
>>
>>76873067
>he lied through his teeth, which came as natural as breathing to him
So you dead hang, wide grip pull up 185lbs as a max, and do 5 sets of 10 with 90? Post body too. Need a good laugh before bed.
>>
>>76873175
Not wide grip no that’s just cheating rom like powershitters do.

Also not doxxing myself I’m an eceleb
>>
I do close grip 1rm 270lbs I have long arms too haven't been going at it long I think I could hit 3 plate
>>
>>76873067
>>76873007
+90lb x 10, 5 sets is LIGHT work if u can do +85kg 1rm.
>t. +85kg 1rm
>>
Most people that brag about pull-ups usually weigh as much as a Holocaust victim. Better than a powershitter doing lay pull downs, but still gay to flex.
>>
>>76873557
It's become the preferred way for skinny weak guys on here to brag. Because there's a video of Halfthor or whatever failing to do one, they go around thinking they're a big deal for doing 8 or whatever. Sorry your pullups don't count for shit if you can't do at least 1/2/3/4
>>
>>76873247
It's cheating rom but a harder movement due to leverage. Try again.
>eceleb
More bullshit I see
>>
>>76873604
I'm op and have 1.75/2.5/3/4.
>>
>>76872715
>+25 lbs
>Wide grip
Impressive. Very nice.
>85 reps
Motherfucker, you need to add more weight.
>>
>>76874270
Unless you're training for explosive strength sports specifically, volume>weight for the majority of people. It's much more functional for every day modalities like hiking, rock climbing, manual labor, and so on. I always get a kick out of people that demand you train olympic lifts at high weights for functional strength while they work an office job. Yet these same people never train thoracic/lumbar rotation so that they're strong in injury prone positions.
>>
That's fine bro. Congrats.

I'm currently 5'9.5" and 180lb..

For my pull day I do weighted pull-ups heavy singles and doubles with 55lb on the dip belt with chain followed by seated chest supported rows with 120lb per side

And for my push day I do sets of bodyweight pull-ups for sets of 8 to 10 reps between sets of heavy incline bench

I feel like you need both bodyweight pull-ups and weighted pull-ups for a good back. Bodyweight pull-ups let you spam more reps which is great for hypertrophy and weighted pull-ups give you crazy strength.

My back is definitely my best body part and it's not even close, do both bodyweight and weighted pull-ups for big arms and back.

I do back extensions, good mornings, and rows on top of pullups most back days. Maybe a little bicep volume to polish it off. I definitely love pullups the most though.
