I have a similar one but with handles instead of stupid pads. Hits my lats like a motherfucker. Something about hinged movement rather than a cable lets me do it more strictly in the horizontal plane. Equivalent to behind the back pulldowns, except no risk of bonking myself on the head with the bar and making myself even more retarded.

These are still worse than cables because you cant go past the centerline of your chest like you can by crossing your hands while using cables. You'll never get the full stretch using this machine. Pic is what I mean by this
