>Approaching 30
>Can't side-sleep bc both my shoulders are fucked
>dominant elbows/wrists always feel kinda inflammed
>my fucking big toe nail detatched from just lightly bumping my foot
So, how are you handling aging, /fit/?

I've lost a lot of my gains to injury and recovery, and seem to just keep losing ground as time goes on.
Feels like my body is coming apart at the seams...

I'm 30 in a few days and don't really have any problems beyond needing to lose some weight which I'm in the process of doing

Just came back from the orthopedist
Apparently my shoulder-shape is "prone" to impingement but I don't have any actual injury yet.

Thing is, my shoulder already fucking hurts. I told him it fucking hurts, but he said there wasn't anything wrong (yet)
Just told me to lay off the weights/pullups for a month
It's so fucking over

>So, how are you handling aging, /fit/?
By not being American lmao. What the fuck. Falling apart in your 20s, man, that's not good.

>>76887295
Translation into retard: Your training sucks.
>>
I’m 30 and my only issue is that my right wrist mobility is bad so I need to use dumbbells instead of a straight bar
>>

im 30 and perfect

Let me ask you fellow oldfren, do you take collagen supplements? If so what do you use? I wanna make sure I don’t fuck my joints over

I am 30 and I am stronger than I have ever been in my life
>>
>>76887295
go to YouTube
type "big muscular guy swinging rope"
there is this black guy who is bald, super jacked. he does sandbags and these weighted rope swings. the rope swinging is really good for your shoulders. godspeed anon.
>>76886814
recently turned 28. feeling better mostly. I have had a bulging disc in my back since I was 16. but I have strengthened myself a lot. Throwing my back out is now less painful and I can still walk when it happens. I'm investing in pt stuff
>>
>>76887555
Only my deadlift is higher now. As far as ratios go, I am stronger and lighter than I've ever been, but my Squat and Bench are both 50 and 100lbs lower from my ATH. Not sure wtf caused that.
>>
>>76887474
nope just zinc and larginine to coom max
>>
I'll be 32 soon and my body feels the best it ever has. Yoga and green tea are your friends.
>>
>>76886814
I'm about to be 33 and I DLed 545x3 yesterday, and helped a friend move the day before. I have no injuries or pains, despite 7 broken bones and 3 ripped muscles (including half a softball sized mass of scar tissue from tearing my quad) Conversely my friend who doesn't lift and is the same age threw his back out sneezing in bed last week.

I guarantee you aren't doing the big 4 multiple times each week if you're injured all over. They literally make you more robust against injuries.
>>
>>76886814
I'm 35 (36 very soon) and I feel great. Only effects:
>slower recovery
I still do PPL 6x a week, but recovery is definitely a little slower. Healing is slower too from injuries
>need less sleep, but its REQUIRED
I used to be able to stay up all night, partying or playing games or whatever, and would crash for like 8+ hours and all of that jazz. I can't do that now; sleep is AWESOME now and I guard it with my life. At the same time, I need a lot less of it. I went from needing at least 7.5-8 hours down to something like 5.5-6 hours; I tend to sleep 10-4am or 12-5/6am. That's the one weird change I like, as it also lets me keep a steady schedule with working out.
Other than that, nothing really big has changed.
I will say that others my age, who do not work out constantly, are having the same type of chronic problems coming up now: high blood pressure and/or high lipids in half my friends, random other chronic problems with joints and backs and similar. But it only shows up in people I know who don't work out.
>>
You don't know how to properly lift or sleep. I'm 31 and my shit is sturdier than my 20s.
>>
>>76887892
>You don't know how to properly sleep

yeah beause sleeping is not a skill lol some people just fall asleep easily and others don't. I hope every last easy sleeper falls asleep while driving
>>
>>76887868
Also getting old and the sleep thing is 100% true and I fucking hate it.
>>
>>76887922
most people I have met who have sleeping problems
>fat = sleep apnea
>not sleeping in a cold room
body has to lower core temp to fall asleep quickly
>on their phone immediately before trying to sleep
>>
At 30 any issues you have are going to be lifestyle related and not aging. If you spent most of your teenage years playing video games instead of being active that’s on you not your age.

I have had sleep issues my whole life. Take minimum 1 hour to fall asleep. You literally cannot imagine how good you have it. And no simple "sleep hygiene" hack or whatever is going to change that. I have tried everything.
>>
Your problems don't come from "aging". In your 30s, you should be perfectly healthy and capable to perform well. If you're not, it's 100% a result of your life choices.
The idea that everyone above 30 needs drugs to be normal is retarded Big Pharma gaslighting.

You're probably sleeping like shit, or have been consuming caffeine daily for 5–10 years already, or are not eating the natural human diet (meat).
Or you've been drinking alcohol regularly for years. Or you have very poor sleep habits. Or you consume shit like sodas and "energy" drinks.

It's not aging, it's the result of your poor life choices over a long period of time.

There are many men and women ages +30, +40 even in their fifties that don't have any of these "aging" problems you talk about.

Stop being a PUSSY and take fucking RESPONSIBILITY for your situation in life, FAGGOT.

This anon is right, but a few things to add: movement is very important. I'm 34 and have no health problems. I'm surprised desu because I was basically an alcoholic for most of my 20's. I attribute my good health to no longer drinking, avoiding fast/junk food, and always moving every single day. I ride my bicycle every day. I practice either yoga or qi gong every day. Once you lose your mobility, your health will begin to deteriorate.

>be 39
>turning 40 in 3 months
>in better shape than I was at 20 and 30
You hurt because you trained to be swole.
I'm in great shape because I'm training for aging.

My goals were shaped with self-preservation in mind because I didn't want to face middle age being overweight, and through following low weight high tension exercises and calisthenics have not only built muscle but also shed over 20 pounds of fat.

As you march towards 40 yourself you'll realize there's no one to impress at this age and the only real reason to be in the gym is because you've made it a lifestyle choice, and that's when you'll prioritize stupid bullshit like joint health and flexibility and range of motion too.
>>
>32
>hoards of women my age rejecting me because they "don't like muscles"
lol, i know the real reason is because I'm ugly, but it sucks that being in good shape hasn't helped. unironically got more action in my 20s when I was skinnyfat.
>>
it's worth taking gh and thymalin
>>
>>76889192
I bet this is just coming from the context of you being a douche with a tinder profile that has nothing but bathroom shirtless selfies or something. I have literally never had a girl say she "doesn't like muscles". Girls can get grossed out by vascularity, or if you look disproportionate or weird. But they pretty much universally like muscles otherwise.

You also get "sour grapes" fat girls who say they only like dad bods but very clearly what they don't like is getting mogged and fucked and abandonded by muscular chads. Fat girls most of all love muscles if they are being real. The chubby woman longs for a man that can still make her feel small and shit.
>>
>>76889214
I don't use dating apps, too short for them. (5'7")
>>
>>76889219
>5'7
This is probably your problem unfortunately. The sexual marketplace is much more brutal than 5-10 years ago.

Every short man I know is single right now.
>>
Turmeric, green tea, and cardio, you idiots
>>
>>76889263

Also, do the occasional 36-60 hour fast. Teach your metabolism to slow down sometimes. I just turned 30 and the only reason I'm not in better shape than I was at 20 is because alcoholism

Big Pharma is pretending to be a bunch of faggoty Peter Pan zoomers?
