Has any of you successfully got rid of this shit (cervical area)? I've had it for probably more than 2 years now, on and off, I got rid of any vertical pressing recently, have been taking breaks, but flare ups always lurk around the corner, I always feel fragile. It feels like any meaningful upper body exercise is a dice roll for this shit and the thought of giving up lifting more months because of this bs is making me sick.

One idea would be to wait for the pain to be relatively gone and get one of those neck decompressors off Amazon to traction the spine

No really cervical but lumbar related: I had a L5-S1 slipped disc confirmed by MRI and doctor assessment, however no surgery and full recovery. Worst pain in my life and quadruple pain medication for 2 weeks.

This is how I rehabbed:
- walk, every day min. 30 min however painful it is -> bloodflow to spine and recovery
- avoid all youtube stretches and only do PT-prescribed or McKenzie method or stuff from Stuart McGill's book
- when mobile and mostly pain free again go to gym and do deadlift/squat with correct form and realistic weight, kill the ego and do proper form with low weights

2 years now since my "life-ending" injury and I'm still lifting (although more for S&C and not power) and regularly do BJJ (hard on the body and spine/back due to bending/rotation movements).

I would assume a similar methodology would work for your case. Find out the root cause, get bloodflow to reduce inflammation and then improve the structural loading capability/imbalance.

>>ever thought of maybe, simply, there's sth wrong with what u do to your shoulders ?
>like not in accordance to human anatomy ?
>maybe EVERY FUCKING SHOULDER "LIFT" DOES IT when u don't control scapula nor thoracic spine - just sth to think about

why?
try it - feels awesome
allows thoracic extension and lat spread due to sitting posture - necessary conditions for delt work

it's funny bot but when i tried this tate thing i felt me neck getting warm pronto, scapula down and out, extended thoracic and double chin for cervical spine
difference is that u're not centering weight below your center of gravity like in OHP, it stays in front of you - u are not finishing the "lift" obviously, u sort of make spine into age of sail mast pulled with different ropes (muscles) in different directions, but the mast (spine) bears load straight down as it was intended to do
imma draw diagram for u bot so that u understand :D

Have you tried seeking actual professional help instead of living with a disability and "doing your own research" on anonymous imageboards?
A good physical therapist would go a LONG way for the vast majority of retarded injuries on /fit/ (which are all of them).

Are you a PT? It sounds like a scam desu. Like all they know is light exercises to promote blood flow. I do that every day it's called lifting and cardio.
