What's one food that all of /fit/ can agree on is healthy?
>>
>>76923538
Maybe a salmon you catch yourself in Alaska? Someone is going to be edgy and disagree though
>>
>>76923540
Probably some vegan retard would disagree, in which case they don't count.
I agree, wild caught salmon is probably the most universally promoted food here, more than beef because SOMEONE always complains about beef.
>>

>salmon
Enjoy your heavy metals in there, retard

Green yogurt

Realistically eggs. Humanity seems to have moved on from cholesterol scaremongering and almost everyone agrees eggs are based. /fit/ never agrees on
- plants
- meat
- fish
- oil
- sugar
- fructose
- bread
- cheese
- anything with oxalates
- coffee
- energy drinks
- sodas
- whey

goon juice.
>>
>>76923616
If you agree that eggs are good for you, red meat is objectively better. It even has vitamin C. Red meat is the only food that actually has everything you need, also gives you natural creatine which is nice.
>>
>>76923540
Salmon is full of poofters

This is 2500 calories of beef. Feel free to go into detail every single deficient vitamin and why I actually don't need it.

You are never going to get 100% agreement on anything because there are still people here who believe that dietary cholesterol causes heart disease. But I would say that grass-fed, grass-finished beef is one of the healthiest things you can eat on a daily basis.
>>
>>76923538
Pussy. It's a little low on protein, but it's also got no carbs or fats. It's like celery where they say it takes more energy to burn it than it contributes, plus it doesn't have any fiber so you won't get gassy, so you can pretty much eat it all day every day.
>>
>>76925665
it's extrapolated data from dogshit nutrition labels and fundamentally flawed testing.
>red meat has no retinol
>red meat has no vitamin C
Just factually wrong m8.
Red meat technically has some sugar too, and the amounts of certain nutrients vary quite a bit depending on how the cattle is raised. Coastal cattle is going to have a good amount of Iodine.
Also beef organs fall under the blanket term "red meat", which have wildly higher micros, not that it's even needed really.

sure low evidence for that. But saturated fat is definitely strongly correlated with heart disease.
>>
>>76926477
Based AHA calling fat dieters retarded.
>>
>>76926477
>>76926478
Saturated fats are bed because they produce HDL which is stored in your veins, while nonsaturated fats are ok because they produce LDL which is digested in liver.
So yeah, fats are ok, but not saturated ones. The same with carbs - complex carbs are ok, but not pure sugar or glucose-fructose syroups.
And protein is always ok.
>>
>>76926477

>>76926466
Don't need proof the sky is blue. Cows store fat soluble vitamins in their fat, such as retinol, and cows have vitamin C in their bodies at all time, thus so does their flesh when you consume it. Not complicated stuff.

>sure low evidence for that. But saturated fat is definitely strongly correlated with heart disease.
These are both the same thing. Foods with cholesterol also contain saturated fat. You cannot isolate these components of real food in any meaningful way. Only whole foods can be meaningfully tested, because no one is eating globs of pure cholesterol or pure saturated fat.
And correlation does not imply causation.

there is plenty of scientific research that indicates that eggs are good for you. however, it gets obfuscated by other research coming out of "scientific" researchers whose studies always happen to indicate that eating foods that climate change alarmists want to do away with are actually bad for you. in other words, there is a a strain of "science" that is actively working to swindle the masses into being chronically ill, following a Malthusian ecological agenda, and basically imposing "green" austerity on the population in the context of a broader despotic technocratic agenda.

>thinks smoking tobacco is healthy
You are not being very nuanced about this.
As I understand it, smoking tobacco is broadly considered unhealthy even on this board. However, nicotine itself could be beneficial if it is not delivered through a medium such as smoking. Chewing nicotine gum while studying or reading a book may be beneficial as it may confer a nootropic effect. Nicotine has been shown to be good for memory and could even stave off age related cognitive decline. Now, overdoing it with snuff or snus is quite different from an occasional use of low-dose nicotine gum while reading or during a study session.

>scientific consensus
do you ever question whether or not scientific consensus itself has been corrupted by pharmaceutical companies and other unsavory powerful interest groups? the whole reason why the holistic medicine and alternative media scenes even exist is because countless millions of people have been harmed by "medicine" that was informed by the officially approved scientific consensus. people want an alternative opinion and an alternative approach to health for a good reason. the real grifters are the idiots who are pushing big pharma's official consensus, not the small minority of folks looking for alternatives to the pharmaceutical cartel and their overpaid drug dealers in white coats.

much of this information on real health is ancient wisdom from before they had processed food, SSRI's, food contamination, environmental contamination and post industrial dystopian allopathic medicine. it actually is validated by science, but these reports are suppressed and buried by a "scientific consensus" that is bought a d paid for by for-profit insurance and pharmaceutical cartels that can't patent healthy food.

your lack of intellectual curiosity and an undue deference toward expertise with official seals of approval from outdated decrepit institutions is not a sign that you are sophisticated, morally righteous, and socially conscientious. it's a sign of willful ignorance and being comfortable with white-coat totalitarianism.

>do you ever question whether or not scientific consensus itself has been corrupted by pharmaceutical companies
No there really isn't any evidence of that. Corruption exists, but not to the point where recommendations are being compromised. It would require a worldwide corruption of millions of scientists all going along with it.
>the whole reason why the holistic medicine and alternative media scenes even exist is because countless millions of people have been harmed by "medicine"
What are you trying to say exactly? Are you implying that modern medicine has caused more harm than it has prevented? Thats just idiotic. Yes some medicines have side effects, most people prefer that to dying. Look at the survival rates of diseases that were death sentences a hundred years ago. It's day and night the improvement.
>the real grifters are the idiots who are pushing big pharma's official consensus, not the small minority of folks looking for alternatives to the pharmaceutical cartel and their overpaid drug dealers in white coats.
This is just vague emotional language. Which consensus is incorrect? How do you know that? You speak like your standard anti-establishment Facebook mom. I don't think you can even explain how the scientific community arrives to consensus's.
>much of this information on real health is ancient wisdom from before they had
Yes and the life expectancy was half of what it is now and starvation and resources were still concerns. >your lack of intellectual curiosity
It's not a lack of intellectual curiosity. It's you not saying anything substantial. Look at that massive post you made and you didn't give one specific example because you don't have any. it's just theories. If someone challenges the status quo that has decades of research behind it, they better have some good evidence to do so. They almost never do, which is why nobody takes it seriously.
>>
>>76923566
Are you the same retard that posted this in regard to canned fish during covid stockpiling threads?

> food contamination, environmental contamination
Also food contamination and environmental contamination has existed since the dawn of time.
> it actually is validated by science, but these reports are suppressed and buried by a "scientific consensus" that is bought a d paid for by for-profit insurance and pharmaceutical cartels.
Or maybe the studies were just bad? Also what makes you think Pharma wouldn't just patent it and sell it for themselves? Asprin was once holistic. Morphine was once holistic, Codein was once holistic. If the plants work they turn them into medicines and sell them.
>that can't patent healthy food.
So explain why there are millions of studies out there showing that eating whole foods is healthy for us? Shouldn't these all be suppressed? What about the millions of studies showing us exercise is good for us? Pharma can't capitalize on exercise!
