Blaha is 49 today, and honestly looks amazing for his age. Better than when he was young even.

Id like to hear some tips from older anons who stayed in shape, what did you change as you got over 40 in terms of diet and how you train? Did you change anything at all? Is getting old even so bad in terms of the physical impacts on your health?

I aspire to one day be a buff old man myself, I'd really hate to get fat and out of shape as I get older.

my dad is jacked at 55. He has to be top 0.1% of men that age who also don't take trt. I am pretty sure his secret is just obsessive compulsive disorder. He does not miss a workout and eats the same foods all the time and every day is the same for him. Like one day we helped my cousin move across town. We were moving heavy boxes and shit all day. Then my dad had to go do his workout that evening. He is like the only person psycho enough to go train after doing all that work all day. I am afraid his joints are starting to bother him though, kind of unavoidable when you live like that.

wtf he looks 5' 4''

the other way around, his shit estrogen bound physique makes him look like he's 6'2" while he's like 5'8 in reality. getting lean didn't save him from his shit genetics

give him some credit, majority of you would seppuku in his shoes

Just looking at him I always assumed he was quite tall. He has that look of a fat flabby guy who thinks he's muscular just because he's 6'2". Carries himself like that too.

I was genuinely surprised to learn he's a manlet, I legit always thought he looked tall.

Will Jason ever make a comeback and be relevant again? He needs to start drama videos again, he would fit in perfectly with how YouTube fitness currently is. There's a perfect opportunity for him to weigh in on the beef between Solomon Nelson and Layne Norton, given his history with Norton.

early to mid 40s. nice work on the weight loss
>>

Thank you. I am 60. In Feb 25' I started retatrutide from some Chang source. Lost about 50+ lbs. Natural T to 600 due to HIIT training with rope on "off" days by Sept 25' as seen in that photo. Went on TRT later that week. * week bloods T to 1100. Weight unchanged at 200 but getting stronger 20 to 50 lbs on every lift 10 weeks. Added track work. Retatrutide is a amazing drug on so many levels, fat loss, LDL, arthritis, there are some beneficial heart and kidney effects not fully understood but positive. My "coach" lost about 100 lbs.

if he didn't get involved with online drama, do the mercenary larp, and become a lolcow he would have still been considered one of the youtube fitness gurus

no family, no money, no career, no prospects, when people google your name they find out you are an internet clown and they don't want to have anything to do with you etc.. why would you even wake up in the morning in his shoes?

The best part was pulling out some old leather motorcycle jackets from my younger days, really old and cool German and Italian stuff. Slim jeans in stretch denim look and fit just right. The grin on a woman staring at my legs in her shower is fucking cash money. It took so long to get here, a lifetime, and I'm having a great life with confidence and money and the mires. Bought some nice shirts but the price tag was missing and a cute Russian milf gave me an extra discount. Before I was invisible.

I just had a solid foundation that I never let deteriorate. I did 12 years in the military and stayed pretty lean from all the cardio and calisthenics. Got out in my early 30s and went to college and got into lifting, got pretty big and strong. Got a corpo job after that that had a gym on site and just kept hitting that up. Now I’m 43, 6’1”, 190 lbs and I’m doing 1/2/3/4 for reps. Yeah I’m not chiseled with ripped abs or anything but I look better than 90% of the dudes my age and absolutely crush it on dating apps with women around my age.

Reasonable take because the way you estimate height in isolation is head size to body size, notably height and clavicle. A giant's head and a manlet's head will be quite similar in size and that's why the estimate is accurate; Blaha does indeed have a pinhead.

I'm 42 and it isn't so bad. It kind of is but you get used to things. If you drink or smoke you should probably quit. Eat lots of meat, dairy and fat. Learn how to like cardio and legs, they hold you up and move you forward. Don't fuck up your back
>>
>>76927916
I am enjoying it. Put on the Alice in Chains, pop a Wurthers and some x-treme nitro boost 3000 stool blaster (prune flavor) preworkout and git dem gainz.
>>
>>76926840
I too am surprised hes 5'*8" Body proportions suggest 6'0-1"

He really does have shit genetics to look like a flabby lanklet but be short. At least real flabby lanklets are actually tall. He aint
>>

55 here. I am retarded jacked at 6'5" 290 BUT i think i need some retatrutide. How many mgs (or whatever measurement there is) are you taking per week? I eas going to just go with semaglutide but everyone claims reta has so many benefits beyond just losing fat. All I really need, though is to dial off about 25 pounds of fat

proportions can be weird like that

I always thought Eddie hall looks short when he isn't standing next to other people - big head, relatively short limbs and the stocky build make him look like he's 5'9", even though he's 6'3". he looks like a manlet until you see him around other dudes, or objects for scale

blaha has that going on except hes the exact opposite and looks tall while being a midget

he looks like he's abused his body. I've seen 80 year old men at my gym who look better than that

Started after 40 and did 2pl8 in 9 months. Lifted almost every day for 2 years, low volume per day. Stronger than a lot of younger guys at gym. Tennis elbow sucks.

>600 ng/dL test at age 60
>went on TRT
did you actually go on TRT or did you start pinning a TRT-equivalent dose? and if the former, how did you swing that with your doctor?
>>
>>76929410
Exactly.

Also, what Eddia and Blaha share is thet they both look like shit. Go watch the fight with him and Thor and Thor's proportions are very aesthetic; he looks great. Even Brian Shaw has decent proportions and overall shape, although his BF is usally a little high. But he has a good look. Eddie always looks like shit.

>Did you change anything at all? Is getting old even so bad in terms of the physical impacts on your health?

I didn't change much because I ingrained a good diet and sleep routine in a lot earlier in life. These two things don't change with age and are always important. Training changed, first and foremost that you need to allow yourself time to recover properly, which I didn't always respect when I was younger and left gains on the table by doing so. But also you can get into more advanced routines if you want to.

It does get lonely as an older fitizen though, almost all of my friends are not fit and do not have the energy multi-day trips or activities that don't involve a lot of sitting. I have delt with this by getting more friends and especially younger friends to spend time with.

>implying that using roids automatically turns you into dorian yates or ronnie coleman.
fuck people on /fit/ are retard. Do you even know how roids work retard? There are hyper-responders and then there are hypo-responders. Only a retard would think everyone would respond the same when taking exogenous androgens.
>>
>>76930673
I went on TRT. Did pre-Bloods and at 600 but no gains and tired because 60 does not recover in 48 hrs. So got some chang source Test C, and split 150mg in two weekly injections. Later I found a Dr. who does men's stuff just to have a legal source for legal reasons. Got right into the upper T limit but these limits are set by the lab not by any standard you would expect. I know guys who use gear and they are 2-3 times THE "NORMAL" T limit. The goal is to get the effect you want with the minimal dose and without the sides. In my case my SHBG was crushing my free T level. So I added more. I feel mostly good most of the time with very mild sides like cold hands or spicy nips. Using a AI or DIM can solve that. In exchange I lose 50 lbs, stop all old man medications, have normal BP, good lipids, good heart response, good VO2, arthritis inflammation gone. I have not had my annual phys with my family doctor and will probably get another doctor as mine wants to write statins and BP scripts and referrals for needless surgery and do whatever their insurance company tells them to do. Your mental and physical condition and your health and fitness goals are not a consideration. I am not unusual, but I am unusually fit for a 60 year old. If our medical industry did not have fucked up incentives, an average doctor would Rx my stack: No cigs, no booze, no weed, low sugar, TRT, Fish oil, low dose aspirin, weights, and skipping rope. GLP1 if fat, then TRT.
>>
>>76931486
HIIT with a jump rope. 100 skips, rest a minute or whatever, do this 10 times. I lift too but HIIT is a proven T booster. That being said, for me 600 was not enough as the SHBG was putting me down to 1% free. That was not enough for my training recovery and schedule. I feel better in body and spirit at 1100. When you feel good and your sides are minimal, you are at the correct level. "But what about your heart?" yeah, the old me was fat and out of shape, the new me is trim and recovers easily between training. "b-b-Chinese test" yeah, then sit in the corner and be weak and sad. Nobody gives a shit if your natty, nobody gives a shit if you are anything. My own wife said nothing as I lost 10,20,30,40, 50 lbs and I was not just losing weight, I was looking like a I did when I was 25. My mom who is in her 90s was a different story, she said "you look great and your face! You look so much younger!" Thanks mom. I went back to my college as I was in the area, and was walking up a steep sidewalk on campus, some were winded going up that walkway. I'm back at my college weight, I'm back at my college optimism. I handle life setbacks with setbacks with composure because I have my health. It is everything, more valuable than money. Don't let old research and antiquated medical lore get between you and your health. TRT has negligible risks like the other Rx that I don't need anymore. The key thing is you are a sample size of 1, you need only to consider you in medical terms, not your doctor's malpractice insurance stats, not a drug company balance sheet, not a legal framework. You. You educate and advocate for you. Put in the work for you. We are in a golden age of drugs and knowledge.
