so i reviewed like 50 of them for youtube

- boostcamp - was great if u dont know what u want, popular on reddit bcz of apps
- hevy - strong and minimal, great
- PUSH - if u like apple style UI this is for you
- gymverse - just plain bad
- progression - kinda ugly but the ux is awesome, timers are great, typing is simple, GOAT
- fitnotes - use if you are 60yrs old
- jefit - use if you are 50yrs old
- gymscore - kinda new and great for form checks but no workout planning, if it did could get to GOAT level
- caliber - i find it eh but people love the ux
- runna - GOAT for running
- macrofactor - GOAT for food tracking
- noom - terrible money drain
- Cal AI - terrible tracking and logging
- Formfix - AI form tracking works pretty bad and ugly
- liftoff - kinda new also, people love it but its the ugliest app ever desu
- fitbod - absolute trash
- ladder - if you are just "trying to be fit" great, if ur a lifter bad
- zing - like ladder, if you want to "be fit and train" ok but not for serious training
- liftin - not a fan of UX but has a plate calculator for idiots
- dropset - kinda new but probs my fav in regards to UX, might get the GOAT status, esp since u can combine cardio/mobility/lifting plans
- WeFlex - pretty bad, looks like an indian fiver template
- Supafit - had potential but disappointed
- Flex AI - had potential but the screwed it up with new "AI coaching mode", has form check AI but it just has bad conclusions
- alpha progression - another mid tier bad ux app
- chatgpt - its a pussy

I use fitnotes, does everything I need it to, doesn't pester me with ads or premium subscription bullshit.

Cronometer
>>
I use timer machine (from f-droid) solely to keep myself honest about rest periods and pacing.
Also not an app, but I check my blood pressure before doing deadlifts or squats because I don't want to pass out again.
You don't really need anything more than that.
>>
>>76929826
google sheets - best for tracking
dreamspark interval timer - runs during the workout itself. tells me what to laod for warmups and times my rests
recorder - because I can't be assed to type while lifting
>>
Strong for exercise tracking
MyNetDiary for food tracking
>>
>>76931109
Chatgpt keeps telling you like a billion different things. It contradicts itself constantly
>>

Where’s strong and my fitness pal?

I use hevy
>>
MacroFactor is coming out with one. Wonder if it’ll be any good.
>>
>>76929826
Literally 100% of workout apps are worthless. Macro trackers are the only useful apps.

>Zoomers can't even go to the gym and pick things up without their precious phones.
I hate this generation. No wonder everyone sucks now.

Dr kike israel program. He has a PhD you know?!

liftosaur is pretty cool for making custom workout programs https://www.liftosaur.com/

>Cronometer
Most underrated tool itt. Free tier is great for tracking foods and looking up nutritional info. I’ve used it on several diets and it’s never failed me.
>>
>>76931049
>pen and paper
For anyone who’s truly serious, this is and has always been the only answer. Keeping logs yourself for training and diet forces you to learn everything normoids mindlessly allow apps to do for them. There’s a huge difference in someone who can write their own programs and has years of logs versus letting the RP app or some other faggot platform just tell you what to do every session.

>>76929826
I've tried a bunch, but never end up sticking to them. It's easier just to do my own workouts.
I do like MyFitnessPal for counting calories.
>>
Based on how good Macrofactor has been for me getting some gains, I would say that when the workout app comes out, it will be. MF legitimately changed my life.

I'm a DYLE little wink looking dude. 5"11 5 .5 inch wrist ect etc. Everything from MyFitnessPal, random website calculators, anf basically everything you could think of would vary on the amount of calories I should eat. Anyway, the algorithm that MF uses cracked the code for me and over the past year of actually working out and eating at the level it told me to I've managed to gain 16 pounds. I went from 116 to 132.

Anyway, I'm still a dyle Twink looking guy, but I'm more muscular. Can't recommend MF enough.
