>heals you>able to deadlift without risk of injury>enrages powerfats
Trap machine deadlift is a godlike exercise
I do these in place of barbell squats because dls only hit my back and my minor scoliosis makes barbell squats awful
>>76933912This is the deadlift that we did in high school for all athletesWhy isn’t it liked here?
>>76934036A lot of people here pretend they're elite powerlifters (no, they've never been in a competition).
>>76934036you had based and smart coaches. We didn't even deadlift in my high school but we did powerclean which I think is also superior to deadlifting for athletes.
>>76934036this is also what the variation of deadlift they had pitchers do on my college baseball team. I think everyone but pitchers got to choose the variation theh wanted to do, while us pitchers were only allowed to do trap barit actually hits my hammies and glutes whereas I rarely ever worked them with traditional so I had no complaints
>>76933912Trap bar is highly based buy you shouldn't use the high grips unless you have t-rex arms
>>76933912Trap bars are shit. Just squat instead. If you really want a deadlift variation that will take you to another level, try behind-the-back deadlifts.
>>76933912nah I’m not a pussy, I’ll just deadlift instead
>>76933912>This lift with 1:1 biomechanics will prevent me from getting injuredWhy do glassbacks believe this crapYour odds of snaping your quad are the same on every single lift if you're low iq or a geriatric
>>76934491they aren't that similar
>>76934484roidtranny bitch
>>76934484>spaghetti bar>sumodoesn't count. Both those things make it way easier. I bet his real PR on a real deadlift with a real bar would be no more than 405.
>>76934036we have full-blown autism
>>76933912no you can definitely injured yourself doing these and they are not at all safer than deadlift
>>76934491Idk what started it but this bizarre set of beliefs about deadlifting and rounding the back has infected virtually every fitness space and people are only barely starting to question it. Somehow deadlifts will make your spine explode and cause the most injuries, but a trap bar is good and won't cause injuries, but rounding your back when doing any lift with any weight will cause injuries, but the fact that your back is almost never perfectly neutral doesn't matter except when deadlifting, but preventing back pain means doing a million bird dogs and dead bugs and gay little banded resistance warmups and treating your body like it's super duper fragile, but also people get back pain from sitting around in chairs all day not using their muscles and having their hamstrings and low backs atrophy, but strengthening the low back directly by applying a load under spinal flexion is bad and will send you to snap city, and if you question any of this you're a DYEL or powershitter, and if you aren't then you're guaranteed to snap ur shit crazy style any day now. Luckily there are a couple voices out there getting more attention on the issue and working to reverse the glassback brain fog everyone seems to have contracted but it's a slow process.
>>76934484Either you are the person you posted, in which case you’re child and no one cares about your opinion and cheat rep DLs (lmao sumo and bendybar)Or you’re an adult that saves videos of kids lifting to idolise, which is beyond fucking pathetic
>>76933912You can do these in three ways:>anterior chain dominant (reduced hip extension, most of the movement facilitated by knee extension, basically a squat not to depth)>somewhere in between (a weird Frankenstein's monster but a legitimate movement in its own right)>posterior chain dominant (not inherently safer than a conventional deadlift, just deadlift normally at this point)Also if you use those handles you're a pussy.
>>76937212This is a description of>the front squat>the back squat>the conventional deadliftin that order. I don't think the hex bar is a very useful tool. If it makes you feel better use it I guess
>>76937212>>76937250The advantage of the trap/hex bar is that it allows you to have the weight in line with your center of mass rather than in front of you. This is what makes it safer in theory.
>>76933912>able to deadlift without strengthening lower backftfy
>>769340364chud autists in general tend to take an all-or-nothing traditionalist approach to most hobbies. It shows itself in how they tout that conventional is the "true" deadlift
>>76933912What is your PR on the trap bar:for me>350 pounds
>>76934036if you're training for anything that's not to explicitly perform a conventional deadlift better, this is a safer alternative. even more so for HS kids who are going to be lax with form and tempted to ego lift
>>76933912holy shit i never thought about thisliterally why did i never try this lol
>>76933912i enjoy it too. powersharts will do wide mixed sumo with straps and swimsuit but seethe over this
>>76933912>enrages powerfatsDon't cope.t. fellow deadliftcel
Why am I so much stronger on the hex bar than the conventional deadlift?I can lift 4pl8 pretty easily conventional, but with the hex bar I hit super high weights and I feel more stable or more in control of the bar/weight than the normal deadlift.
