>Started incorporating calisthenics and raw strength exercises into my daily job routine>Work for a couple of hours >15 minute break comes up, go lift truck tire>Back to work>Another 15 minute break, go do dips on the forks of the forklift and decline push ups>Back to work >30 minute lunch break comes, go take a nap on the chairs in the break roomThis has made my job a thousand times more bearable. I work at a fabrication shop where we just make handrails and stairs. It's genuinely a chill job, but when my shift is over and I have those 10-15 minutes of silence as I drive from work to the gym, it weighs heavy on me realizing that I feel completely empty and dissatisfied. I'm 29 and I earn nothing. I want a job that either allows me to enable my hobby or can lead me to better fulfillment.any anons that have gone a drastic career change your input is appreciated.

Your test went up and now you have more ambition to get more out of life. You could learn a trade, they pay pretty well and don't require college.
>>76935074How is satan's cum filled asshole do you not know the Duke?
>>76935112>they pay pretty well
>>76935112I'm already in welding, and I honestly dont care for it anymore. Overworked, underpaid, and its run by a bunch of boomers.>>76935161this
>>76935054you are still at a good age to get a degree in something, so find something you’re interested in, get educated and find a job
>>76935112>Your test went up and now you have more ambition to get more out of life.This. I can barely play vidya geams anymore. I want to do shit like build things with my own hands. I'm lower middle class and going to school now, but I want to get into woodworking and build workshop shed. One of my neighbors built one attached to his house. I also want to get into machining so I can make custom shit to gift IE like a lighter or small clock. >>76935165There's a welder in my Engineering program. He got out because of the skin cancer from arc flashes and lung cancer from grinding.

>>76935198It's passed my mind a couple of times but i dont trust university degrees anymore, especially with the influx of shitjeetsBut I do have an interest in becoming a park ranger or a game warden, so maybe it's worth something to look into>>76935227Yeah I was telling my brother that video games dont do it for me as much. I feel bored if I just spend my time playing games. Rather be at the gym, going for a hike, or working on something with a friend. Which is funny because my back is injured and im now stuck to my gaming chair for the next couple of days.
>>76935267I had sciatica for awhile from a muscle imbalance. I couldn't workout because I was always tired from my shit work schedule. We got a new manager and he fixed my schedule, now I can actually sleep and workout AND go back to school.>It's passed my mind a couple of times but i dont trust university degrees anymore, especially with the influx of shitjeetsTake whatever you can online and transfer when you're ready. You get $2,500 credit per year for 4 years to use on education, and $2,000 credit per year after. There are zero jeets in my manufacturing engineering program because it's impossible to cheat on the onhands lab stuff. The onhands stuff can easily injure and maim students, so the professors would probably remove them immediately for being too stupid to follow safety protocols.

>>76935161I just got out of HVAC after 15 years, 13 of which I was making over $100k, 10 of which I was making $150k+/year.That's pretty fucking good for lifting a few heavy things around and solving problems in peoples home and never having to go to school. I only quit because the only downside to making that much money in the trades is no place offers you medical worth a damn unless you go union, and then you're doing the gayest work possible with the dumbest people possible.
>>76936452>$100k+ in HVACPlease tell me how. Do I just need to certificatemaxx?t. brokie HVAC apprentice
>>76935165I learned welding for half of this year, but it turns out getting paid to code webshits my ass on a desk chair and with a blanket on my lap is actually not so bad compared to what I would have to do to earn minimal wage as a (shitty) welder.
>>76935054Similar here. I do merchandising stuff at various supermarkets. It’s chill, it’s easy. But I make just enough to get by.Decided I’m going back to school at 30. I’ll be 30 in a week. I’m going to go back and finish my associates, I have most of the classes done. 1 class left, but for what I’m doing I’ll need like a year. Engineering technician. It’s an associates but you need specific math and sciences and CAD classes / certs. Starts at about $50k its hands on (like what you’re doing). I’m taking part time classes so its gonna be a year.I’m gonna start with that and then after a while go back and get a bachelors to be an engineer to make real money. My idea is it gives me the hands on experience I want, lets me possibly network a bit build some references etc and pad resume for when I try to become an actual engineer maybe squeeze out slightly better pay. It would also give me insight to what the technicians need and are capable of when I’m the one making designs and plans. I don’t mind since the tech is gonna start at like $20k more than I currently make. I would be comfortable.I just don’t know what field to do. Mechanical but idk what types of stuff to look for. I like the idea of automotive I’m interested in cars but clueless. It would make me very proud to have worked on cars and be responsible even for one small innovative design. To see that car on the road and know inside it is something I’m responsible for, even if it was just some kind of hose clip.
>>76936511What state? I only ever got my NATE cert and 608 Type II. Best advice I could give you is take all the classes at parts houses that you can get your hands on. Most companies worth a shit will pay for them and they are usually only a couple days. After that find what you're actually good at in HVAC and lean into that pretty hard. I did furnaces and AC/HPs for the first few years and found out I was really good at doing minisplits so I found companies that let me just do mini splits instead of having to do everything. Not that minis are hard to install but they are hard to make look pretty and most installers make them look like absolute shit and they take forever to make them look like shit.I hopped to a few commission based companies that paid me between 6.5 and 8% per install, so on a $30,000 job I'm pulling in $2,400 and I can do that in two days. Usually one of those a week and then single zone shit the rest of the week and you're already crushing $120k+/year.I don't know if you went technician route or not but I hated that shit. Being solo all day sucked ass and then on every single call you're just haggling like a fucking jew, trying to get the customer to agree to your services. I much preferred install. Get in, install new shit, make sure it works right, explain to the customer how to use everything, leave.HVAC is a fucking bitch sometimes but it's by far the most rewarding of the bigger trades. I hate people in general but some of the only times I've ever felt really good about myself was getting a family heat during the cold months when they are all freezing or installing a new AC in an old persons home so they can stay cool for the summer. last thing I will say is to just stick with your company until it doesn't work for you anymore. Never be afraid to fuck off to greener pastures for more experience or more money. Rarely will a company take good enough care of you that you should ever consider staying more than a couple of years

I was sick of my fedcuck paper pusher job so I traded memecoins for 8 years and made $10M and retired at 33. It's fine but I'm still bored and depressed all the time. I don't work out or lift or eat healthy or even go outside really so I can't comment how any of that fits into the picture.

>>76935165If you're in a strong union state, look at the fitters union. Highest paid apart from elevator guys. Good benefits, challenging work and challenging welds to make.If your state is a shitty right to work state, find a decent non union fitter shop. Lots of boiler and chiller and refrigeration work out there and it all needs someone to run and secure the piping.
