Does anyone have prolonged experience with health-oriented teas? I have been doing research and I see ginger and turmeric everywhere for their anti-inflammatory properties, so I'm curious if anyone has stories of its effectiveness, or lack thereof.

oh yea I heard kratom tea is really great for muscle soreness.

Using filtered water would be a good start

Kratom tea tastes awful. Cherry juice is better for muscle inflammation. Turmeric tea can cause liver damge if you have too much and it also tastes a little funny, but I regularly drink a whole bunch of others that are pretty based.

Herbal tea is not the most exciting thing but the bang for your buck healthwise is bonkers, and lots of them manage to be both healthy and tasty.
Turmeric is a tricky one though; the ceiling is high but getting there is kind of a pain. A lot of its compounds are fat-soluble and/or need auxiliary agents like black pepper for best results, making tea kind of questionable; that being said it does seem to offer modest gut health benefits even when the compounds are "poorly absorbed." Ginger tea is great though, and surprisingly strong. I really like a "masala chai" using cascara, rooibos, ginger, cinnamon, star anise, cardamom and clove- no dairy or sweetener needed.
Other miscellaneous herbal tea recs:
>tulsi
>moringa
>any "ginseng" herb, like jiaogulan or eleuthero
>hawthorn
>Ivan chai
>ironwort
>jujube leaf
If you're in decent health already you probably won't experience a miracle from any of these, but as frequent background players they're the bomb diggity. Less exotic herbal teas like peppermint or chamomile are still a sweet deal.
