why are sardines so hard to eat? I want to eat them on a regular basis but they're just so heavy, I feel full after eating a quarter of the can.

lmao fag
>>
You are not supposed to eat the can itself, just the fish.
>>
too oily, try draining and using a paper towel before eating
>>

Eat the can in 2 servings throughout the day. ez
>>
drain the oil thoroughly. also try salmon or mackerel, much tastier with the same benefits

They are actually very easy to eat

certain brands taste better than others
get the wild planet ones
they have a 12 pack at costco

you can also just get the ones in water and cook them with rice

Damn I was genuinely just thinking the opposite. It feels like such a small portion that I always want two cans but i'm scared of the mercury or fats or whatever nerd shit doctors say about it.
>>
are you eating them as a snack or a full meal? usually when I eat them its a full can with some kind of grainy cracker and pickled veggies for lunch and I dont snack.

Sardines are so low on the food chain mercury isn't an issue, nor overfishing. They're a 100% guilt free fish

Is there a video on how I eat these things. Generally confused, so never opened the tin I have here. I dont want to choke on bones. Beginners guide to eating sardines required.
>>
If you're bulking put them on some toast with diced tomato and onions. If you're cutting just use some low cal hot sauce.
>>

I eat them straight out of the can with chopsticks. I've never noticed bones. Typically I buy Chicken of the Sea deenz in mustard sauce. Every once in a while I see them on sale for $.99 and I'll buy 50.

I tried them for the first time a few weeks ago. you don't even notice the bones. trying to get them out of the can without breaking them apart is annoying though, they're all tightly packed together.

mustard deenz were my go to but now that i make enough money to spend a couple extra bucks on food (and consequently go king oscar all the way) i prefer the mediterranean style or just plain olive oil with a sprinkle of powdered mustard
>>
Sardines were never meant to be eaten. They make pizza fun for the dude weed bros
>>
>>76937522
get the ones packed in water instead of oil
>>
>>76940431
Might try some on toast with some hot sauce. Might be the best way for me to go

You are thinking of anchovies.

I feel like they're too chalky/grainy to eat regularly. The taste is good but I can't get over the texture.
>>

Dude I know. I've been trying to get into eating them as well but almost every time I eat an entire tin of them they feel so heavy on my stomach. I dunno man but I totally hear ya. Is it because we don't have enough stomach acid or something? I wonder if taking one of those digestion supplements might help? Like the ones that help break down food .
>>
>>76939947
You eat the bones. Eat the entire fish. The bones are so soft you don't even notice them. I just use a fork and put a couple drops of hot sauce on each bite. I also sometimes put a piece on a cracker and eat it. Don't worry about bones. Just make sure you get a good brand. I like the Henry and Lisa brand in spring water.

Wait, you drink the oil? Are Americans retarded or what.

Fuck yeah i fucking love eating sardeens i feel like one of those big whales who eat a school of them raw at a time. picrel.
>>

Personal preference. My favorite way is on some rye bread with raw onion and mustard and some salt and pepper. I also really like throwing them in a breakfast scramble with eggs and potatoes and onions and maybe some chili oil. Or you have them just with hot sauce right out of the can. There's a ton of ways to eat em
>>
>>76937522
you can't eat a full can of sardines? one can isn't even a snack. every time i think i've bought enough, which is a lot, i end up needing more after just a couple days.

That thing is terrifying AND looks like a basedjak at the same time.
