Thieves do calisthenics. Fighters lift weights.

Calisthenics are harder than weights. You can start weights no problem if you weigh 300 lbs, calisthenics not so much.
Also D&D rules are very US-culture-centric:
>Strength is the same as power
>Intelligence is the same as education
>Parrying doesn't exist, only armor
>Genetics (starting stats) is everything, you can't get stronger, faster or smarter by experience, only better at aiming and tougher

idk why it's just tiny men and hippy ladies then

Ask me how I know you've never trained a combative art in your life

everything you listed is wrong. Have you ever played D&D?

>Thieves do calisthenics
Garret can do a pull up twice his weight (carrying a body) + equipment + literal swag
Thieves are gymbros.

Trash, play a real edition like OD&D or B/X

Wrong, D&D has a ton of US-isms, like how the acquisition of wealth and resources directly translates to acquisition of social status and political power in terms of domain-level play; also the implied setting of D&D is much more akin to a Wild West frontier as opposed to medieval European polities. However, immutable values determined at birth is more European than US-flavored classical liberalism (ie the fundamentally American notion that basically anyone can do or be anything with enough grit and ingenuity).

>only ever played WotC, slop D&D editions
Anon's correct in terms ability scores of Str being power and Int being education; Strength directly corresponds to melee fighting ability and Intelligence is essentially just "stuff you know" (ie all Int-related skills in contemporary editions essentially are just tests to see if you know something; in all editions Int is related to how many languages you know).

but the bards muscles are only for loving, not for fighting, thus spoke aniki from the isekai fitizen story

How the fuck do I get them to leave they crowd it for like 2 hours while slapping each other on the back.

Holy shit, I never realized this was a general philosophy for Europeans. I guess the mindset of my European friends makes a lot more sense now. For example, my friend tells me that in Italy nepotism and status are what determine a person's success. It's such a foreign concept to me because my mindset has always been to pursue success with hard work and determination.
