Anyone else unironically believes that red meat is bad for you? I know about (((science))) and all but the evidence seems extremely overwhelming. I've cut out basically all of red meat from my diet and replaced it with chicken and fish. Did I get jewed?
>>76946162I've yet to see that "extremely overwhelming" evidence. What's bad is processed red meat due to added chemicals.Any study that conflates the two, I already know to be agenda-driven and not interested in widening our understanding.
>>76946162>Anyone else unironically believes that red meat is bad for you?No, it's really just you.
>>76946216Nah even regular non-processed red meat seems to increase risks of heart attack and colon cancer
>>76946228>seems to
add some food colouringproblem solved
>>76946228it's really hard to control for though, is there such a group that just eats a bit of red meat 2x per week, exercises regularly, eats lots of vegetables too? They look at the whole picture and in general people that eat more red meat die sooner. But people that own guns in general die sooner too, but that doesn't mean if YOU own a gun you're going to die sooner.
>>76946162I think I have a sixth sense for what's healthy and lean red meat is top tier. Otoh fries and chicken nuggets don't feel so healthy so it's not just what tastes good.

>>76946216>fpbpThe study that people are usually referring to when they say red meat is bad for you is from like the 50s and doesn't account for the fact that most participants were smokers, heavy drinkers, and were eating shit like hot dogs and bologna and calling it "red meat".
>>76946162I think red meats are bad for you, but because of the feed they use in raising them. Its how we got shit like mad cows disease lol. Through forced cannibalism.
