Are any of you in possession of such contraptions in your abodes? I was thinking of just purchasing 1/2inch rubber tiles but I hear they don't do particularly well after a few months. In any case, I don't plan to drop the barbell, controlled lifts only. What says you? Also, should I go for rubber plates or iron ones?

3/4" 4x6' rubber horse stall mats, at tractor supplyyes bumper plates, they are better and cheaper. if crumb rubber 45s are too wide and virgin rubber 45s are too expensive, I recommend homegrown lifting's thin crumb 45. I recommend them for all your plates.
I just use 3/4" horse stall mats on my concrete garage floor.
