How much am I supposed to push off with my feet when I’m doing bench press? Every video or site I’ve seen explaining proper form for bench press says to plant your feet but I don’t understand what the purpose of that is. Am I supposed to be pushing off with them or do they just need to be touching the ground?

I think it's supposed to help you brace, with more noticeable effects on incline bench, but don't quote me on that

As much as you can, while keeping your ass planted on the bench.
It will increase tension so you can actually move heavy weights safely, you aren't using your legs to lift the weight anyway, if that's what you're thinking about
