There are people who came on /fit/ like 10, even 15 years ago, who posted for like 1-2 years, made it, then moved on from /fit/Meanwhile im still here, still DYEL, still fat, still weak, still failing at every goal ive ever set for myself to achieve in the gym and dietI dont get it, why do other guys seem to "make it" it so easily? Like the will post their before pic, and then their after pic, 1-2 years later, and they're make a transformation that actually dramatically improved their bodyMeanwhile its like my body is resistant to change, my sedentary body before lifting is not that much different compared to my body after 15+ years of lifting weights week in week out.It seems like some people are hyper-responders, so much so that it doesn't even matter if they train hard or well properly or train at all well, their body simply responds really well by any sort of resistance training stimulation. Where as for me, it's like my body is extremely resistant to responding to any kind of stimulation I give it.
Now it's not like I didn't get strong, I got brutally strong, but the strength just does not add up to how I look and how big my muscle got. There are guys who look like their muscles are much bigger than mine, who are double my size, while also being leaner. Its like, shouldn't my 275 bench press for 10 reps make me triceps bigger than that guy who just spams 185 bench press for 10 reps year round? You would assume so, but some how it doesn't translate like that.Shit i mean, there are guys in the gym who I've seen for years, they don't even train for strength, they just do some meme workouts on cables and machines, and they looks so fucking big and have great muscular development, again, its like their body has some kind of easy muscle gain mode on.There's no way I'm the only idiot not on steroids right? Surely not everyone else I see in the gym for years on on gear? No way I am the only idiot who hasn't taken the hint yet??? (The hint being: You need to take steroids to gain a noticeable amount of muscle mass)
>>76951878>No way I am the only idiot who hasn't taken the hint yet??? (The hint being: You need to take steroids to gain a noticeable amount of muscle mass)Nah bro, I take steroids, but its just the icing on the cake bro, they dont do much bro, its like 99% my own hard work, the steroids only add like 1%, i only take them because, why not, u know, haha, just gives that little extra bit of gains, im risking my entire health and life for just that extra 1% bro, trust me :o)
how many steps do you walk a day? or are you just sedentary when not at the gym?you probably have enough muscle, it’s just that you have too much fat hiding your gains
Nigga if you haven’t made it after 15 years you’re not meant to make it
>>76951924I KNOW THAT CUNTIve been saying this for a decade.Every single guy I know who made it, they made it literally within 12 months of them starting liftingWhy? Because their body responded like crazy to them simply touching a weight, and it doesn't even matter how they trained, them simply being in the gym made their body transform like crazyBut everyone says im full of shit or that im copeing or that im making stuff up when I say to them that time-spent lifting is irrelevant because everyone who makes it makes it within the first year of their training, so the idea you need 10-20 years in the gym to make it is bullshit, you'll find out if you have the genetics to make it within 12 months max
>>76951932have you ever gottten a blood test, you could unironically be low test
>>76951946Yeah I did. Got 300 ng/dl and my SHBG or whatever its called is very high, meaning Im barely using any of the 300 ng/dl test I have.Though apparently this combination is "healthy" - its just not beneficial for being muscular & ripped
How old are you? This feels like me but I’m 29
>>76951877you won't look aesthetic unless you lean out and you won't lean out if you aren't honest with yourself about your eatingif you're fat, lean out, see what's underneath, you probably have more muscle than you expect>but I can't lose weight! My body won't let me!walk an hour a day as briskly as you can manage, stick to 1800-2000kc a day, swim once a week, and it will be physically impossible to not lose weight
>>76951991How much protein are you getting per day?
>>76951991that’s the problem, you literally have the test levels of a 70 year old manI would go to a doctor and see if you have primary or secondary hypogonadism, then go from there
>>76951991That’s close to the lower end of the healthy range. And honestly after 15 years you should have already hopped on steroids KEK. Also, post body.
>>76951991>>76952015FWIW I have a natty test of 750 and my body works the same as OP's. Progress stalls out extremely quickly both aerobic and with weights and no matter how finely I increment or how religiously I rest and meet protein quotas and get good sleep and whatever, my body just says 'fuck you' and fails to respond meaningfully. I thought I might have androgen insensitivity syndrome since I have very minimal body and facial hair and low libido too, but my LH and FSH are both at the bottom of healthy range which (apparently) means that my receptors are fine because otherwise my body would be pumping the LH/FSH trying to force my balls to make even more test. So I have no fucking clue other than I was just born to be a skinnyfat little bitch, apparently.
>>76952014Ive gone all kinds of ranges, like 250g/day, 200g/day 150g/day 100g/dayNo difference between 100g and 250g per day for me.Ive done a lot of experimenting over the last 15 years to see if it was a specific issues like that but it isnt. And its really not all that anyway.... guys who make the best gains I know, none of them even track anything or think about anything, they just have good genetics for this stuff, hit the weights, eat whatever they want, and it just works out for themThe whole thing of thinking you can min-max your nutrition & routine to get massively different results is bullshit, adjusting diet/routine is like maybe 20% difference in either direction, its not a night and day difference, 80%+ of your results come from ur specific genetic response to you giving ur body the stimulus
>>76952039Yeah honestly I dont even think it's a testosterone specific issue.I think some people people are hyper-responders and some are non-responders.Its not that I haven't responded at all, ive gained lots of strength over the years, but its just that the strength level I have (yes in the "bodybuilding" rep ranges) just doesn't translate to what it should have theoretically translated too
>>76952042Hit 200g every day with 2000 calories (or less). There's no reason to be getting 100g, it's not enough. I can recommend 0% fat Greek yogurt, that was a game changer for me.
>>76952050What i mean by this is.My strength level in the "hypertrophy" rep ranges doesn't match what results my body gains in terms of actual visible muscle. There are guys in the gym with 2X my chest, shoulder & tricep size, who some how are half my strength.
Brah, welcome to the real world. You've been psyopped by frauds who wouldn't win a local amateur bodybuilding competition into believing shit like "strength training = bodybuilding if you're natty", "bodybuilding is just strength training with 8-12 reps instead of 3-5", "you don't need to train [whatever muscle] directly" "studies show that [insert DYEL bullshit]" and "cardio kills gains". Those same faggots will have pictures of Chinese weightlifters doing lateral raises and sit-ups in their fap folder while telling you OHP is all that you need. Return to tradition and just do what Mr. Olympia competitors do there are plenty of videos of them training.
>>76951991How often do you throw caution to the wind and eat more than 3000 calories in a day, eat meat eggs and milk, don't wait to eat until you're hungry for a while, or lift more than a few low effort exercises? Fucking eat more and gymrat, test would theoretically be below half if you sleep like shit and eat minimally especially food that is responsible for creating testosterone or so little that your body actually lowers testosterone so you don't starve. This is why I'd never want to get it tested, I have probably been at 300ish when I was sleeping like shit and trying to keep weight gain down while not lifting.
>>76952073I dont think you get it. Ive bulked myself into literal becoming fat (Not American tier fat), but gym-built-fatI dont have any issue consuming protein/calories.This isnt a "dewwwd just eat moaaar" simple fix that people think is always the answer. The problem is I just dont get that "LOOK" people who "make it" getThese people get the "LOOK" within months of training, a look you cant work towards, you either have it or you dont, its a genetic thing.Do you honestly think guys like David Laid, or Jeff Seid train & eat any differently to all of us? No, they don't, we all do the same shit, but their bodies responded in a specific way that mine did not.
Bait until op posts body. Stop responding
>>76952051If you don't have a ton of muscle, 120g is a good number to hit most days. Lacking in carbs will greatly stunt hypertrophy whereas something like only saturated fat instead of having a truly complete diet is more of a smaller factor that stacks up with other things moreso and isn't easy to pinpoint. Op is probably doing some dumb shit in the gym in the first place. Try overworking before complaining gains suck, just don't get tendonitis or lift heavy so often it basically dries out your muscle fibers and causes permanent damage. How often do you even hit bench? Are your sets even stimulating the muscle you're targeting? A good rule of thumb is 3x/wk for any muscle to make progress asap and to take 1-2wk deloads every 4-8wks so your strength can recover.
>>76952099>this nigga giving out basic bitch advice i havent already known about for 15 yearskys honestly
>still no body postedyeah its bait, shoo shoo troon
>>76952120Alright let's start small, you have bad progress and low T?>try eating 2 eggs and a little bit of butter and olive oil a day>protein constantly and if you're low have more than just capping it off>carbs raise insulin which also increase fat and muscle gain>low insulin for an extended period of time causes starvation mode and destroys gains>dirty bulk can be 90% recreated lean bulking but you can't splurge on meals you have to know when more adds more fat and less will lower metabolism and how long that period is>hydration/vits/minerals are also huge and effects pump size/muscle fullness which is a good way to keep track of if you'll be putting more or less muscle onNow diet isn't the problem save for a multivitamin or a ton of vegetables. Are you lifting and getting stronger? Could you gain more muscle in a year resting less days and or adding volume or adding higher reps or lowering rest? >do you even grow chest on bench? Does your shoulder work not injure you so you can grow without needing constant recovery? Is your upper back all developing or just lats?>are you strength peaking enough or too much? Is your volume and intensity high enough to even facilitate protein synthesis? Do you want to spend more time on day 1-2 of recovery and get muscle building to 100% or would you benefit more from putting more weight on the bar next week?
>3 hrs> no body
>>76952088You are likely doing stupid technique and programming meant for people who are already athletes and can discern a strict program from how to lift if not only focusing on say adding lbs to lowbar in 2mo. Try starting almost every session with chest or shoulders, you can go over 3x/wk nobody is going to stop you. Unless you just absolutely nailed chest, the day before AND want strength to recover over being at 100% hypertrophy as in resting only 1-2 days on chest for almost a month or doing some shoulders every other day for a week or so, you could probably stand to do some more lifting. I for some reason doubt you're going from say 225 bench all the way to 155 over 8 sets doing some different variants of course. If you don't stimulate the muscle to maximize hyperteophy or density or cns the results simply won't go as far not even it will take longer.
I know that feel OP. Having wide hips and short muscle bellies doesn't help for me either. Literally all my muscle insertions are short, just like how one has short bicep insertions. My tricep insertions are also short, as well as my lats and everything else. In addition I am a low responder when it comes to size gains. I have no issues gaining strength. But reality for everyone is that if you want to stay fit for the rest of your life, you have to lift/exercise for the rest of your life. You can't just lift for 1-2 years, become huge and then stop. I have seen so many guys who make it after lifting for 1-2 years, then they drop off and become fat and weak and talk endlessly about their haydays like they are still that guy. Guys like us who never make it, who never get that look, will stay decently fit and strong, having decently aesthetic physiques, for our entire lives while we try to achieve it.
>>76952180
>>76952180>spending Christmas waiting for a fat anon to post his physiquelollmao, even
>Where as for me, it's like my body is extremely resistant to responding to any kind of stimulation I give it.you own success one day at a time. if you aren't paying the dues every day.. well yeah it's taken away. it can take years to build a palace, but only seconds to raze it.
>76952233>talking in third person> admits he’s fat, still no body postedLol. Lmao even
These fags get so salty when you call out their bait kek
>>76952258This is most commonly going too long between meals, and taking too long between sessions while bulking. Sure you can be strong if you rest a month but you won't gain 90% muscle. And sure fasting is good for cuts but doing it too long causes you to gain a lot of fat after big meals and lowers your metabolism. Eating only sugar all the time fucks up your insulin resistance and you need more calories to get to higher protein synthesis. There's legitimately a lot to do wrong that will inhibit progress. The most common is only doing 3 shitty sets then 3 that actually do something with too light of weight, then resting half a week and wondering why your lifts barely go up then when they "overwork" and get weaker they think they're lifting wrong not progressing every session.
>>76952286Op wants to be rich from twitter or something and thinks lifting is for low iq classless peasants because they don't like old fashioneds or experimental music.
>>76952088>we all do the same shitno we don'tI have to thank you whiny guys who say you can't do it natty, to motivate me to do so
>bet you he won’t post body> he doesn’t
