Started going to the gym regularly (3x/week) a few months ago. I'm gaining good amount of muscle but look still skinny fat. Espcially around my hip (which isn't really flattering as a man). So I'm thinking of going 4x per week and just add a cardio day. Right now it would only be 45min of using the stairmaster.

Use the adductor at the end of your workout. It makes the skinny fat look better.

You are not gonna make it. You will stay skinny fat and will be back in a few months saying it's all bullshit and down to genetics. Because you dont have the drive. Up it to 4 days lifting a week for minimum 60 minutes and one cardio day at 30 minutes, which is probably less time than you spend watching TV a week, then we'll talk. Otherwise keep working on your child bearing hips on the stair master.

>>76955238Yeah I alternate between 1h on stairmaster or rowing machine for steady state. The key is to track your HR and keep it low for steady state or go hard for intervals. Cardio and weights will not make you less fat though. You need to diet for that.
