realistically I think even if you have skills, luck plays a huge factor.
You go a week without locating, or killing enough food, so you die.
Your island had 0 fresh water, and since you have nothing to boil water, you die.
It was a storm for multiple days, you die to the elements, or get sick and die.

Ok do it, one time. Just once.
I've tried several times, with rolling between ny hands, never worked
Friction grinding, never worked.
Lace rolling, worked once to a heat with smoke but wouldn't catch and then the stick broke.
Most times with the drill methods, id drill through the wood breaking the wood before it would ever get enough friction to burn.
I'd pray for a convex piece of glass to be on the island with me to start via solar, or enough food I can eat raw.

You need the right kinds of wood. Ive never managed to do it taking less than 90 minutes in perfect conditions. Same with a magnifying glass. I just carry firesteel for this reason.

How long we talking? A few days or weeks? Easy mode, definitely. Hard mode, not impossible but highly unlikely.
Years? I'd probably fuck up or just get unlucky and die eventually.
