How much yoga can you do before you reach the point of diminishing returns?
I want to stay healthy and flexible and pain-free.

You spend most of a class facing backwards, a true yogi sets up his mat in the front to maximize gawking

Yoga is crap. My wife has been doing yoga steadily for 20 years. She's less flexible than me, and she can't do a proper pushup, squat, or plank. She does have pretty good balance, and her cardio is great thanks to her absolutely beating the shit out if her spin bike twice a week. But yeah, I don't think the yoga is doing anything for her at all.

Eventually you loosen certain areas too much which can cause muscle imbalance. Look up Jill Miller. Bilateral hip replacement at 45 years old due to over stretching.

I'd you're doing yoga only about a year, however yoga + lifting is literally GOAT. Great active recovery, mobility gains, and a free teat boost from being the only dude in a roomful of scantily-clad women

Going beyond the very basics , master them, and master them well, pick specific movements you feel work really well for you for a recovery day, when you start getting into stupid movements for the sake of stupid movements , you've gone too far

what about yoga + calisthenics?
