Climbing/bouldering seems like such a fun sport and i want to try it out and not just be a gymcel but i’m afraid of doing so since it was so onions coded the last couple yearsHave you tried climbing? Is it fun?
>onions coded the last couple yearsStop giving a shit about what other people are doing or thinking. I guarantee your live will improve significantly.
It's fun. Go try it. It's also one of the best sports for upper body strength. You can still train other muscles in a gym in addition to climbing.
>join outdoors climbing class>meet group of experienced climbers willing to lend me a harness and shoes and mentor me>get invited to go climb with them a few times, buy my own gear with their help>one day my calf seizes up on the wall and I have a minor freak out ( a few tense seconds of "do X!" and me replying "I can't")>they stop inviting methe mountain is unforgiving, I don't blame them you need to trust your partner with your life
>>76959874Climbing is really fun, it's a great way to train your arms and people who frequent climbing gyms are typically friendly and the women are hotYou should see if your local gym has an introductory class and see how you like it, wait until you try it two or three times before you look into buying shoes
>>76959874I've been climbing for like 3 years. I haven't made any progress in the past 1.5 years. Just a constant cycle of either 1 step forward get injured then 2 steps back or just straight up stagnating to avoid injury again.
>>76959874Bouldering has more faggotry than climbing, and climbing is less gamified and still connects to the outdoors, so if you have a choice go to a climbing gym and climb rather than just bouldering
>>76960112While they were correct and you are correct they didn't adapt to your skill level at that time probably they did not want to waste their time babysitting you. However, that does not mean that you can't keep climbing. You just have to find your onw pace
>>76959874A lot of the people involved are yuppie and left leaning, but it's still fun, and the people are typically really social and helpful.Just conceal your power level and have fun.>>76959878Eh, climbing would be exponentially more based if people didn't involve their shitty opinions in the practice. Gyms covered in pride flags and shit and people climbing in all kinds of ridiculous gay accoutrements.I think left leaning people are drawn to it because it is more gender neutral, they can preserve their shitty ideology of equality since there isn't such an apparently massive gap in performance between the sexes at the lower levels. But you are correct, I wouldn't let gay retards get in the way of having quality healthy fun, I just wish the people were psychologically healthier.
>>76960257I don’t like bouldering because the walls are usually in a small space with lots of other climbers hanging around, watching you to see how you approach a specific route. Too social
>>76959874I don't wanna try it because the last time I touched one of those wall grips I gagged like mad from the smell it left on my fingers.
Nothing is more cringe and onions coded than being overly concerned with what's cringe and onions coded
