Alright /fit/, redpill me on GLP-1 and semaglutide injections. My formerly fat cousin visited me over Christmas and is thinner than she has ever been. She was open that she has been taking Wegovy and said she had minimal side effects (bloating, nausea). Are these the cure for fatties who lack any and all willpower? I was genuinely shocked at how thin she had become but I feel like everything has a trade off.

Doctor here, there are several tradeoffs, health wise:
- gastrointestinal common side effects like nausea, diarreah or constipation
- some more serious but less common side effects like pancreatitis (among those who are at risk for it) and gallbladder stones
- some even more serious but even less common side effects like bowel obstruction
Also, the expected loss in lean mass is around a third of total weight loss with semaglutide, closer to a fourth/fifth with tirzepatide.
Another trade off is simply cost: losing weight should cost you less money than eating at maintenance, ceteris paribus.
More importantly, you're becoming dependent on a drug in order to be healthier and it's better to avoid that if you can.

They work
They’re expensive right now until the patents expire in the 2030s
Retatutride > tirzepatide > semaglutide
They work and work well, the only problem is that they’re effectively for life; people regain 66% of the weight within a year after stopping and almost 100% within 3 years

>They work and work well, the only problem is that they’re effectively for life; people regain 66% of the weight within a year after stopping and almost 100% within 3 years
Isn’t this similar for all weight loss though?

Wegovy is $200 per month through some online places, which is likely what you’d save in food costs anyway.
>>
>>76960677
It's telling how you ignore absolutely everything else he said And the only concern you have is cost.
>>
>>76960635
If you're a doctor then I'm a nobel price winner in Physics. Bazinga faggot!
>>
>>76960843
You're just a mean-spirited faggot who hates that fat people don't have to stay fat anymore for your amusement.
>>
>>76960921
I'm not sure how anything I said was mean-spirited, but I apologize if it could have possibly come across that way.

I bought 600mg of retatrutide for 335 quid from a Chinese supplier. Let's round it off to 400 quid for the bac water and insulin needles I buy. Taking 10mg per week, that's 60 weeks. That's 27 quid per month, 37 dollars. I don't know where you guys are sourcing from, but that's a really low price to pay to not be fat, not to mention that it's probably equivalent to the extra groceries you'd be buying.

>>
>>76961162
basically all peptides come from china. all you're paying for with american sellers is reputation and testing
>>
Semiglutide helped me lose about 20 pounds and then I hit a massive plateu where it felt like the shit quit working. I think the 2.5 mg max dose has got to be way too low. I probably need twice that. It makes no sense to give me the same dose that you gave my mom who is half my size
>>
>>76961109
every one of these posts is a massive fucking lie. I have been reading about people claiming to buy reta for 1 dollar per mg and any time I look into it I see the shit going for like 10 times that price. Even UGLs that sell steroids have reta priced tremendously high. I can only conclude you are buying this from like a discord or telegram or something and thats just too fucking ghetto for me
>>
>>76961174
You'd be surprised how important reputation and testing can be...
>>
>>76960621
The side effects happen if you eat like shit.
Eat the "proper" high protein diet (it's super easy when you have to force yourself to eat enough protons) and you will be fine. Costs $ 50 here btw, USAnons sure are cucked by their healthcare.
>>
if I take ozempic will it make it easy for me to stick to a 100% chicken, broccoli, rice diet? Or is that still going to take a lot of willpower?
>>
>>76961205
It kills your appetite so you probably would struggle to even eat all of it. I would eat 1 chicken thigh and feel like I never wanted to eat ever again.
>>
>>76961178
>I can only conclude you are buying this from like a discord or telegram or something and thats just too fucking ghetto for me
I am, but I get it's not for everyone. I started off buying 100mg and only spent more now because I had no problems. Not trying to shill you anything, but if you want cheap shit, you gotta go straight to the source
>>

i am on tirzepatide (zepbound) and lost 60lbs (245-185)
>got a legit prescription from a telehealth clinic
>$120/month for clinic access and $25/month for meds through the pharmacy
>insurance will force me to use their own clinic for future glp prescriptions, but i plan to ween off by June when my PA expires
>hardly ever hungry, often skip lunch at work
>the "full" feeling kicks in very quickly when eating
>occasional naseau/headache from injections, can control this with OTC meds and fluids
>lost about 1pl8 worth of PRs in squat and deadlift but bench and OHP are functionally the same
If you can get a legit prescription and your insurance covers it, i'd go legit and avoid dealing with "research only" peptide sites. if you don't qualify (not obese, no history of diabetes, etc) then dabble with the chinese bathtub peptides.
>>
>>76961205
it'll make it easier to stick to a diet, i don't really crave sweets anymore after starting tirz and don't need to eat more than 500cal/meal
>>
>>76961333
I got a prescription but it’s still going to be around $200-300 per month for Wegovy. Zepbound was more expensive. I’m 240lb now and legitimately just want to lose weight no matter what. Being a fatty sucks. I don’t care what people here think, considering they’re okay with roid trannies.
>>
>>76961416
people here won't know you are on a glp unless you make a thread about it. just make sure to hit your protein goals and lift weights while on it otherwise you're going to lose muscle. if you're side-stepping the dr/pharmacy and going "research", spring for the reta if you can afford it. make efforts to change your habits/diet while the meds don't make you hungry so you can eventually get off the drugs and not immediately yo-yo back
>>
>>76961646
I got prescribed Wegovy so going the GMP manufacturing route, not some random Chinese bathtub route.

If people were willing to eat a proper diet, they wouldn't need to inject themselves with these drugs.
>>
>>76961936
Hey anon, no matter how much you make fun of people using GLP1, they will all continue to lose weight until they are thinner than you.

And they like everyone else that loses weight will gain it all back once they come off the drugs. Shrimple as.
>>
>>76962865
NPC brains can't understand that you can stay on GLP1 indefinitely. You don't need to "come off the drugs".
If your brain malfunctioned because of this simple fact, I'd recommend calling your government agency.
>>
>>76962161
It's not a matter of willpower

What is there to red pill about? I went from 230 to 205 over 4 months.

My appetite has changed significantly.

Lol nta, but nope, try again. It takes actual discipline to get to my level of body fat.

How does a europoor like me get access to the peptides without injecting CCP nanobots
>>
>>76962893
The biggest blackpill for me has been the realization that the jews are right and most “people” really are just human-shaped animals to be used and treated like livestock. There’s no soul or even a sense of self. No capacity for self control let alone affecting the world around them.
>>
>>76963037
A reddit anecdote does not equal reality. If you weren't a redditor you'd know that. Reta easily gets you to a low % of bf without even trying.
>>76963054
Chinese peptides or bust. They are all sourced from China. Even EU labs like Driada don't make peptides.
>>76963057
Who gives a fuck about doing something "the right way" or "virtuously"? If you're obese you have high appetite, if you're a skelly you have low appetite. Take a GLP1 as a fatty and you'll feel like a skelly.

>>76961192
Just split the cost for testing with your fellow fatties, 70% of the population is overweight. The large vendors always have buyers pitching in for group tests on specific batches
>>76961175
Novo is trialing up to 7MG. But just switch to zepbound
>>76961205
Yes it gives you a naturally thin person's food brain. I thought they were lying about being full. You will probably need to add protein shake or kefir or yogurt. Chewing becomes a chore 48 hours after shot day Also Broccoli sucks, its too dense
>>76963037
2 years was enough time to completely change their lifestyle, adjust to high protein, 30 minutes of cardio or weights, so this person is an idiot. But the idiot can just upgrade to reta/cagri stack which will blunt appetite and increase metabolism at the same time
>>76963054
All(99%)peptides are manufactured in china. Go to glp1forums, mesorx, or stairwaytogray and see who has good recent janoshik results, eu warehouse or good custom pass rates from china. Stg has an international forum
>>76962865
>oh I didn't get pregnant last month so I guess I'll stop my birth control pills
You just stay on it
>>
>>76960666
Weight loss is a never ending battle. If you lose weight on a diet you have to stay on a diet forever, essentially. You're eating at maintenance, not deficit, but if you're a fatty at heart there isn't much difference.
