True, but both the quads and hamstrings have one head that crosses both the hip and knee joint and are therefore not or minimally trained by the above two exercises, so we can add

If you include the core as part of the lower body, add an ab and oblique exercise and that's 6 exercises. 7 if you add calf raises, 8 if you add hip thrusts or some other gloots for the sloots exercise.

Your lower body day can easily have 6-8 exercises. Even if you go minimalist that's still four exercises for balanced development (knee hinge, hip hinge, calves, abs). And yes, you should do core on lower body day. Otherwise your upper body days get too long and intense. Both should in my opinion have no more than 8 exercises.
