I don't know if I'm proud of my gains. I've been lifting for almost seven years on and off. I've switched focus and fitness goals plenty, I've had to leave and come back to it a dozen times for various life-related reasons that had to take priority. I'm way behind the mark as far as /fit/ standards go. I had a pretty serious illness that started back in 2022. I was just over the 1/2/3/4 hurdle when it hit. Two years of nothing but excruciating pain sent me into a pretty deep depression pit that I've only recently started to recognize the depths of. I hit 4 months of consistent lifting last week. I checked my notes from my first few sessions and I've added 40lb to bench press and 25lb to ohp. I'm not sure how much my squat has gone up because when I started I didn't have enough weight to go to failure in around 5 reps, but I am about to have to buy more weights to progress on it.I am a skinny guy who still needs to eat more but I am happy with the rate of gains so far.

My arms still aren't huge or anything but it's nice to see.I also went from being a weak skinnyfat dude to being able to zercher squat 3pl8 and deadlift close to 3x bodyweight, which I never thought I would be able to do. My traps are the most developed muscle in my body and I've had a couple guys ask me for my routine or compliment me on them.
