>>76988626It's more environmental to ask on here instead of using AI
>>769886265 miles = 8km = 10k steps
>>76988630Okay so how much is 12K steps? That's what I'm asking
>>76988626It depends on your stride length.Measure out 100 yards. Walk the distance with a normal stride, counting your steps. Do that three times. Take the average step count for the three lengths. There are 1,760 yards in a mile.Multiple the average 100-yard step count by 17.6. That's about how many steps it takes you, specifically, to walk a mile.Divide 12,000 by that number. That's about how many miles are in 12,000 steps, for you specifically.
Possibly zero, but up to around 5, given a 3 foot stride.
>>769886365miles divided by 10k steps times 12k steps
about 6 miles
>>769886266
>>76988626If your left-right-left is a 60-inch step (you were in the military, maybe, any military), then one mille (thousand) is 5000 feet, or one thousand steps. This was the Roman measure for one mile (from "mille", or one thousand). Our measure for one mile is 5128 feet. So 12,000 steps is 12 x 5000 ft = 60,000 ft, or ~11.7 miles. But if your "step" is half that (because you're reading the number on a smart watch which measures the controlled fall), a mile is 2000 steps. So 12,000 steps is ~5.9 miles. If your step is more or less you need to figure it out like this guy said:>>76988637
>>769886262000 steps/mile is sorta the accepted average
>>76988626Didn’t you ask this same question but about 10,000 steps earlier?
When I run, 10k steps is about 6.25 miles, so 12k would be about 7.5 miles. When I walk, 12k steps is about 6 miles.
Walking I'm also at 2k steps per mile, but running varies widely. More technical trails and elevation is more steps per mile. My wife and I also get pretty different numbers running the same distance, my stride length is a bit shorter than hers despite having longer legs. Our short friend who runs with us always gets far more steps. Number of steps is not a particularly useful metric, but setting a moderate threshold can help you make sure you don't sit on your ass all day.
Average stride length(one step)=2.5 feet12000x2.5=30000 feet1 mile=5280 feet30000÷5280=5.68 miles Round off to 5.7 miles for convenience.
for me it's about 19 miles but that's because i pole vault with my world record cock every 1/3rd step
>>76988626its 5.6
>>76988626About 5.1, assuming a stride of 2' 4".
>>76988626There are 5280 feet in a mile, and you have 2 feet, so 4.5454545454 miles.
who the hell even invented this whole thing about you need to do "x steps a day", is there any difference between taking 50cm step and 70cm when going 5km?
