I refuse to do this gay shit
>>
>>76993995
that's all really gay except for the bentover row, it's a good exercise
>>
>>76993995
It's gay because most people do it with sub1pl8 for whatever reason
People say standing barbell OHP is rare but i've seen even women do it yet i legit never seen someone do rows with decent weight no matter their physique or weight

Do landmine t-bar rows with a pulldown handle to establish dominance
>>
>>76994025
what is decent weight for the barbell row?

Agreed. Manbuns are for faggots. Real men rock a top knot.
>>
>>76993995
I do Pendley rows
>>
>>76994025
People refuse to drop the weights on heavy BB rows. They usually stand nearly straight up instead of bending over. Some dumbass Boomer even yelled at me for it. They think you need to go slooooow and do the time under tension brah
>>
meadows rows are straight
>>
>>76994053
Your deadlift 1rm x 0.65% for barbell row 1rm or even 3rm
Now i dont recommend going for 1rms on barbell row but 0.50% is a good measure for a working set
>>
>>76994074
I feel those normie cheat rows on my traps more than any shrug and that's what I use them for. They're a less extreme version of Rippetoe's patented power shrugs.
>>
I refuse to do anything that would put me in a gay bending position.
>>
>>76994076
>0.65%
>>
>>76994076
Why the fuck would 'decent weight' be a proprtion? You just went on this long thing about no one donig it with over 1 plate, then say this
Anyways i think these are pointless I can knock out reps with 2 plates without ever training it just from deadlift strength
More and more I see that literally all you have to do is your basic lifts and they cover all the bases
>>
>>76994057
>ERE WE GO

Useless meme lift
>>
Men do heavy rows. What a bunch of faggots here.
>>
>>76994408
It is a basic lift, you just aren't using enough weight.
>>
>>76994452
No I don't think so. If trained only the row, would I be able to walk into the gym and rep out 4 plate deadlifts? I don't think so. Yet the converse is true. So the deadlift is a base lift, row isn't.
>>
>>76994461
Forever when they would start guys on like 5 or 6 lifts, the row was one of them along with the deadlift. If you actually went heavy with it you would see how it helps your deadlift as well. You really thing some guy who works his row up to 300lbs can't deadlift 4?
>>
>>76993995
>do some heavy more upright
>some more in the groove and odd grips to hit different back muscles
>add some normal+lat bar cable rows and pulldowns for light/stretch
>weighted pullups for density
>chest supported shit especially for rear delts or upper/mid back
Back is easy to grow a tshirt size or so over a year or two and helps stabilize presses. Barbell rows and pullups are the bench/ohp for back.
>>
>pick up heavy weight with back
>useless

How? It's the most """(((functional)))""" lift I can think of.
>>
use 50% of your TM
>>
>>76994481
>You really thing some guy who works his row up to 300lbs can't deadlift 4?
The two aren't equivalent. 300 lb row is much more advanced. That guy should have a 500 deadlift.

Your rows affect your deadlift on the long run, you're just leaving progress on the table but who cares you're lazy subhumans who ngmi if you think proportions dont make sense in the context of basic lifts
>>
>>76995388
They'll never learn.
>>
>>76995388
How? Hasn't affected it so far. It's clear my deadlift is making my lats stronger. What would rows add?
>>
>>76994408
Think of it as incline vs flat bp
They're similar movements who involve the same muscles and stabilizers, one recruits certain muscles more than the other and also less muscles which makes it 50/50 between an isolation and compound, and these muscles are weaker than the "big" and more numerous ones flat bench recruits.
Your incline is usually 75-80% of your bench, if you progress on incline and do it regularly your flat is bound to go up as well unless you're an absolutely autistic spazz who has no coordination, you can unironically train nothing but incline as a newb until you reach 2pl8 1rm on it, your flat is almost guaranteed to be around 44lbs heavier on 1rm. Tell me again how this is an absurd line of thought ?
>>
>>76995415
>>76995405
Also keep in mind that some muscles are recruited less than the other during the more basic SBD movements
You take out the hamstrings and glutes out of the deadlift and now can focus more on your back, you take out your upper back and now you can do RDLs to focus on your legs with some erector involvement. Same for incline decline flat bench.
You can replace it with cable or dumbbell work anyways, but i love to superset my deadlift with rows usually alternating dumbbells and bar and sometimes the sitting row
>>
>>76994025
>>76994076
stop trying to turn everything into a powerlard competition, fatass
you're not doing rows for raw strength
>>
>>76994397
lmao
>>
>>76994086
kelso shrugs holy science based
>>
>>76995423
If you dont progress with weight the reps just become cardio, get on the crosshitter rowing machine already
>>
>>76994086
Power shrugs are actually a lot of fun though
Peak unga bunga exercise
>>
>>76994057
I refuse to be in the same general demographic as abaddon
>>
>>76995423
>you're not doing rows for raw strength
What other reason is there for doing rows?
>>
>>76995441
>implying looking like Little Horus is a choice
>>
>>76994025
True
I can row 275 off the floor pretty clean (no jerking) and never see anyone else do it
I saw a guy row up to 1pl8, got interested when he added weight but then he proceeded to do rdl for some fucking reason
>>
>>76994383
So you don't lift?
Welcome to/fit/, its where you belong
>>
>>76995423
I'm sorry, what? Lmaooooooooo
>>
>>76993995
Pendlays are the only tolerable way to do barbell rows. For DB rows I prefer krocks, standing up and one hand on the back of an inclined bench.
>>
I like rows, simple as
>>
>>76996967
is there a reason people don't just brace themselves against their offhand leg on db rows? I've never known.

Same. I much prefer these at high reps around 1 plate.
>>
>>76993995
how do you do this gay shit properly anyway
purist in me says op picrel
but anyone with any semblance of serious progress seems to do them at 45 back angle or even more upright
>>
>>76997402
Like this.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/w18QUDQ3V-w

Note that he says the abs are resting on the upper thighs. This is very important that a lot of videos rarely mention. You tense them hard, brace and you will notice less or no lower back fatigue when done right.
>>
>>76997405
at lower to mid weight I just rest my ribs on my thighs, it's fine for not putting back into it, but it doesn't work when you go heavy
notice none of those NIGGERS you posted are using heavy weights despite being gigantic

just because roidtrannies use piddly weights doesn't mean you need to
>>
>>76998215

you have an even lower iq than a nigger, you nigger obsessed nigger lover

me too although I will do yates rows... still don't really like them though

cheated seated cable rows are my favorite
>>
>>76993995
Wide grip, bar over toes, forces you to row strictly, very nice
>>
>>76993995
blows up your back gotta get to 4pl8. The ultimate humbler lift because no one trains back seriously and 3pl8 benchers can barely do a few reps of 2pl8
