How are beans not widely considered the healthiest food?
>>

I'm mostly vegetarian but I'm always disappointed when I see how little protein a serving of beans gets me. They're insanely satiating too. I rely on dairy for most of my protein.

DIS NIGGA EATING BEANS
>>
>>76995476
as far as i know they are good for hitting fiber and fat goals. they are awful in regards to carbs & protein. anytime they ''have'' carbs it's from whatever sauce/chili they are soaking in. the amount of protein they have is incredibly low, and there's simply better options available for protein
>>
>>76995501
? They have way more protein than fat, beans (like black beans and kidney) are fat free.

>Indigestible fart inducing gut wrenching cellulose
>Incomplete amino acids, poor in them anyways
>Insulin spiking sugar
>Phytofats, useless for anything other messing with your endocrin system
>>
why shouldn't you eat a handful of raw kidney beans?
>>
>>76995476
Most of them aren’t a complete protein.

Plenty of unhealthy foods have all of these. What an incredibly worthless post. Fucking hell, just kill yourself.

name one
you won't find unhealthy food that contains fibre

they are super healthy but they high key suck
i should really eat them more they're fine once you throw them in goulash or some kinda shakshuka
>>76995492
i probably get most of my protein from yoghurt but i'm curious if there are other dairy options
nuts are like 20% protein but they're also 700kcal/100g

This buzzword is thrown around, it’s become a surefire way to tell when people have zero clue about nutrition
>>

They are. But you retards on /fit/ won't listen to real health authorities (no, chiropractors on youtube are not authorities).
All major health orgs recommend legumes.

I like this one, they have it in Aldi stores in Germany

You could literally say the same thing about a cheeseburger, anon.. But to be more detailed, beans are not a complete protein, they've got quite some anti nutrients, and their micronutrient profile isn't great. Sure, it's not bad compared to more white bread or cookies or whatever, but it's not actually great either

A hamburger. It has lettuce, which is practically pure fiber
>>
>>76995863
They are not healthy at all, you anime loving imbecile.
>>76995476
Complete dogshit toxic poverty "food".
>>
>>76998628
I don't think lettuce makes even 1% of the weight of an average burger

They are, and have been for thousands of years. Classical Roman authors described beans and lentils as being the ideal food for athletes.
